  1. Bulls schedule was released today: http://www.nba.com/bulls/schedule/ Game One at the UC vs. Skiles and the Bucks.
  2. I read the thread title and was thinking "what the hell is he talking about?" and then I thought for a second and rolled my eyes as I already knew what team he signed with.
  3. Honestly Favre to the Bears would be a disaster for all the reasons above. Then you go into the cap situation and what we'd have to do to accommodate someone who honestly isn't going to put us over the top this year. Remember how Favre played in 2005 with no offensive line? It would be like that again. Then after this year, he would either retire and pull this crap he's pulling on GB again. By that point Grossman and Orton will be gone, and we'll have to draft a QB (who surely won't be ready to contribute this year, thus won't be a first round pick because Angelo will probably have another more important hole to fill first) or sign a veteran FA, and we all know how those have worked out for us over the years. So year, sitting here dreaming about it, it seems like a nice scenario, and it would be funny to stick it to GB. But really looking into it, it doesn't make sense short term or long term and it kinda goes against everything Angelo has been doing for years.
  4. Jason needs to bring his "A" game today (6 IP 4 ER). Reds have a favorable pitching matchup (mostly), and Ryan Luckwick is in the midst of one of his usual hot streaks.
  5. Hadn't heard that yet. How did they come to that decision? Are they saying that it means he's ahead of Grossman right now or are they planning on having Grossman start the second game?
  6. I have to say, give the Cardinals/Carpenter credit. No one here gave him much of a chance to contribute to the team this year. It's still early, but he looks pretty solid.
  7. Prince Fielder HR 7-1. Only 8 more games in a row for the Brewers vs. last place teams after today.
  8. Dude, you got Dusty'd
  9. LOL. Their stats are almost identical. Fukudome has more RBI's and is a better defensive player. Meanwhile Giles plays in a hitters death trap. Not saying I'd take Giles but just playing Devil's Advocate.
  10. Yay 2 walks this year, both against the Cubs in key spots the last 2 days.
  11. Where did u hear this? I think he's talking about in the offseason.
  12. Harden is going to have 7 days to rest after this start, so hopefully he can go 100 pitches.
  13. http://www.seatdata.com That what you are looking for? Indeed. Cheers! Jon has a way to get the full pictures to work PM him and see if he can provide the link.
  14. Yup, mostly because Cedeno has a history of making dumb baseball plays, and this would be a continuation.
  15. What happened? Soto threw out lee by a mile but derosa dropped it. leading to the run Blanco Blum
  16. I only expect the latter. Well he hit it out of the infield, but yeah. He used to frustrate pitchers more by fouling off everything. Doesn't do that anymore. I said this in yesterday's thread but I think it's worth repeating that our right field situation isn't significantly better than last year. 2007 RFs: .293 .375 .419 .794 2008 RFs: .266 .374 .400 .774 2008 Fuk: .277 .379 .410 .789 Yeah there's a pretty decent defensive improvement which makes the Cubs overall better in 2008 but you are right, not a big improvement.
  17. YES! That's the key hit I've been looking for from DeRosa. I know his RISP numbers are high but he hasn't been doing much of anything lately.
  18. The funny thing is, I can swear I saw that guy on Clark and Belmont when I was driving home before the game.
  19. Remember when we could reasonably hope that our 3 hitter could hit a home run?
  20. Come on, people. Make the obvious retort that Berkman is still too scared of the thunder to play. No...apparently he's scared of the Cubs pitching. He's hitting .129 .206 .129 .335 against the Cubs this year
