I think it's because on the road, you are hoping to win. At home, you are expecting to win. Win 2 of 3 at home is mandatory. Win 2 of 3 on road is a luxury. That definitely makes sense. Ouch Ryan.

For some reason when the Cubs played the previous 2 series in St. Louis, I wasn't that worried, but in this series at Wrigley I am actually kinda nervous. Don't know if its because its August or if because I fear the Cardinals more because they are still in this race when previously I expected them to fade

We won the first game, Houston won the last 3. That was the series with the ball that supposedy hit off Berkman's helmet.

Geez. I know its preseason, but that was just horrible. We really needed to see a lot of the offense and we just lost a lot of time to work on it.

If the Cubs swept the Cardinals this weekend, at minimum they would be 8 games up on a playoff spot with 44 to play.

I think they will lose 1 of the 4 games. Also I do believe they will get Peavy in SD next week. Those are our only bright spots. On the downside, the Nats are playing a DH today so their pen will likely be depleted
