    I think its fair. I don't think they should be as high as 8th, but something like 13th or 14th would be most realistic.

    Yea cheap shotting with helmets has a tendency to knock people out of the game for a play or 2. I'm almost positive I saw Briggs and Mike Brown have similar plays. They hit hard, but didn't lead with there helmuts. whoever cleaned Addai's clock lead with the helmet, didn't they? Yup nope. look again, briggs blew him up with his shoulder, no helmet contact whatsoever. i looked for that, because if i'm going to complain about bob sanders, there's no way that i can condone any of our players doing the same thing. I could have sworn I saw a Bears leading with his helmet and I thought it was that play, but I could have been mistaken.

    ??? Even if they do catch the Cubs, its a really weird time to proclaim that.

    I bit hard on the defense's preseason performance. Normally I know better than that, but missed tackles and defensive lapses aren't normally stuff I attribute to the preseason. Plus the defense greatly underperformed last year (albeit with some injuries), and is 2 years older than the last time it was relevant. I should have given them a bigger leash though considering how dominant they were in 05 and 06.
