That idea has never ever been discussed here. Ever. You are the first to think of this. No, really. I know it has, it's just Lee' act of hitting the weakest of dribblers with RISP is growing extremely tiresome. Yet Piniella won't move his "franchise" out of the 3 spot, unless Derrek goes to Lou and says he needs to move for the 3 spot. Until then, "Mr. GIDP" will hit third, for better or for worse. Probably for worse, it's getting to the point where the opposition probably relaxes when Lee comes up with RISP because they know he hasn't a chance. The manager on the other side of town recently said that Lee is the most complete player in the city. That can't help. -
Maybe he's afraid to do it with the wet grass. Might slip coming down.

Yeah Rich hasn't really made me feel comfortable about October tonight. But that's why its only mid-September. Seriously, Felipe Lopez? He hits like crap, gets waived from the worst hitting team in the league, goes to a certain franchise known for making bad players servicable and then all the sudden is hitting 5th for a playoff contender. I wonder what would have happened if they picked up Damien Jackson, Rey Ordonez, etc instead of us.

Well they are playing a Wild Card challenger. But it does seem odd considering how ineffective he's been all game.
