Seriously, why would that even matter? The grading scale between a good beat writer and a bad one has absolutely nothing to do with who can break a story first. cause i constantly see the "bruce what do you know about this" or "bruce has hendry said this" type of posts. when in reality, there's nothing to suggest that hendry tells him anything. i just dont get it. If you've followed Hendry's career as a GM, you'll see that Hendry doesn't really share the kind of information most of us are looking for (offseason moves, for example) with anyone. And if he were to share some of his inner most secrets, he would probably share them with Chicago Tribune writers, since the organization is/was owned by the Tribune. exactly my point. hence the not understanding of "bruce tell me what you know" that i see everywhere. He's more of an insider than anyone else here, and the only inside source that can directly answer our questions if he so chooses, so if people want to ask him questions, and he chooses to answer them, what does it hurt?
