  1. Tim Tebow and Chuck Norris once squared off. The fight lasted for 4 years, then Tebow realized that he was actually in a fight. He immediately stiff armed Chuck Norris upon this realization. This event is referred to as the "Big Bang" Tim Tebow hits blackjack with just one card. When Google can't find something, it asks Tim Tebow for help. When taking the SAT, write "Tim Tebow" for every answer. You will score more than 1600. When Tim Tebow wants popcorn, he breathes on Nebraska. Tim Tebow gets called for roughing the tackler. Tim Tebow ordered a Big Mac at Burger King, and got one. Little known medical fact: Tim Tebow invented the Caesarean section when he bull-rushed his way out of his mother’s womb. He thought it was 4th down. The recent earthquake off the coast of Florida measured 6.0 on the Richter scale, or .024 Tim Tebows. SuperMan wears Tim Tebow Pajamas. So does Lou Holtz. Tim Tebow counted to infinity - twice. Tim Tebow built a time machine and went back in time to stop the JFK assassination. As Oswald shot, Tebow met all three bullets with his stiff arm, deflecting them. JFK's head exploded out of sheer amazement. Referees created instant replay so they could admire Tim Tebow more than once. In a recent survey it was discovered the 94% of American women lost their virginity to Tim Tebow. The other 6% were incredibly fat or ugly.
  2. Meh, Brewers have probably taken a much bigger step back than us, and the only team in the division that I think has improved to have even a faint shot of competing with the Brewers/Cubs is the Cardinals, but I don't think either Milwaukee or St. Louis can compete with us over 162 games. Crazier things have happened though...
  3. I would say its man's greatest achievement. In 50 years, history books won't even bother covering 9/11 because the decade will be defined by Tim Tebow. In fact, since people still can't figure out what to call this decade (naughts? zero's?) they are just going to call it the Tebow's.
  4. I'd rather have my opinion attacked than just being blatantly called dumb. If you really believe Oklahoma was the 2nd best team in the nation after tonight, then I don't really know what to say to you. Actually this sums it up right: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v515/SportsKnowledge/thoklahoma20jim20ross20ow.gif Meh, I don't think OU is number 2, but you can make an argument they played just as well as Florida last night. If it wasn't for their follies inside the 5 yard line, it could have been a vastly different game. They certainly weren't the offense that they were against the weak Big 12 defenses, but they played better than 14 points last night. If Florida really is the best team, then OU didn't really play that much worse than the best team in the country with everything on the line. That said, I'd probably have USC or Utah 2.
  5. So wait, its been awhile, how many points do we get for a non-Detroit loss? 1? Wait its 0? WTF?
  6. Oh give him a break. He was probably the best dl on the bears last year he's never been any good. He was pretty good at Florida back in the days of the primordial pre-Tebow history of NCAA football. yeah, but i don't care how he played at florida, it didn't benefit me as a fan at all. if he could actually do what he's supposed to do i would like him. He's not the most talented de on the bears but he is consistently above average. I personally thought he was playing at a pro bowl level in 2005. Had a bad year in 06 and half of 07. Was good last year. I can sense we won't agree though
  7. Fat Oklahoma girl crying was the highlight of my night and I'm not afraid to admit it
  8. Oh give him a break. He was probably the best dl on the bears last year
  9. Just be thankful you aren't watching his mom & sisters in between each play. i wonder what the daniel's are up to right now They are hanging out with Sarah Wood I believe.
  10. Too bad Texas didn't do a good enough job vs. OSU because there is no way they would vote Utah.
  11. Nice. Also, a little contract insight: http://chicago.cubs.mlb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20090108&content_id=3736641&vkey=news_chc&fext=.jsp&c_id=chc This is a good contract for the current economic state, but I wonder if Jim realizes that these backloaded contracts will kill him at some point.
  12. I don't know...after seeing Texas struggle and put up 21 vs. Ohio State and seeing Tech lose their game, I'm not sure if the its the Big 12 offenses that are overrated.
  13. At least five members have been incredibly rude to me from the get-go. I'm issued a warning for fighting fire with fire. It's beyond ridiculous. Guess if you're not in a clique or a longstanding member, you're not allowed to defend yourself. I didn't even realize I was in a clique. I just laughed at your strange opinions. The "Clique" begins with IMB!, Meph, Derwood, and Truffle...what, you didn't get the memo from them? That Jersey guys is the biggest prick though, watch out for him. Though he is not as bad as that goony guy was. that is the weirdest idea of a clique ever. one of those people is on my ignore list. I could probably get this in one guess, but to be absolutely certain I would need 2.
  14. The Hawks are losing and they aren't even playing Detroit? WTF is up with that?
  15. I'm not even a huge playoff guy, although I'd like to see one, but its just amazing how I watch this and just think its a huge sham. I really don't treat this game as any sort of national championship game
  16. He looks a little chubby in the picture where he's putting on his jersey.
  17. I read they were looking into signing Lowe
  18. I like this guy. He did seem a bit uncomfortable answering some of the harder hitting questions, but overall he gave the answers I wanted to hear. I remember reading an ESPN the Mag article circa 2005ish and I really liked what I read about him and how misunderstood he can be. Obviously some of his actions have come across rather loudly, but outside of those major incidents, I've heard and read nothing but good things.
  19. No, one of the articles posted above says he passed it already.
  20. Embezzles? You mean extorts? Yeah yeah, my brain isnt working today.
  21. I think this really comes down to Peavy. The Padres dangled him and I think he officially wants out. Peavy's contract extension was based on the Padres staying competitive. I wouldn't be surprised if Peavy forces the trade to the Cubs. I've held firm all offseason that this deal will happen. I'm also expecting it to happen sooner now than later. Both teams still have work to do if Peavy isn't going anywhere, and less and less players will be available to either team the longer this deal takes. How would he do that? He could be a total jerk and go to the media and say he refuses to play another game in a Padres uniform, and he will only accept a trade to the Cubs, and force the Padres hand. I think if he went out in public and said he demands a trade but he can only be traded to the Cubs, the public would side the with the Padres without a doubt. You can't make a ridiculous request (ridiculous being limiting them to one trading partner) and not expect backlash. I highly doubt that, no way the public sides with the padres, even padres fans, if Peavy demands a trade. You have to look at the situation, Peavy gave the Padres a huge discount on his extension, the padres dangled peavy out there for more than three months. The padres ownership and general manager were openly talking about trading peavy. Peavy is probably the most loved padre in SD, do you honestly think the fans in SD would turn their back on Peavy after he was misled and pull back and forth in trade talks? Come on give me a break, if back in the day when Sosa was loved and the Cubs sucked, the cubs dangled him out there in trade talks for most of the winter and then decided to pull him back in only to have sosa demand a trade. I would no doubt be on Sosa's side because of the treament he got. It would be a different story if Peavy had an attitude problem or if peavy had been open about his dissapointment in how the franchise hasn't gotten better but yet Peavy hasn't done any of that and has been a good sport eventhough he's on one of the worst franchises in the MLB. So you think the Padres fans would side with Peavy even after he embezzles their favorite team out of any sort of leverage to get a decent return, thus ruining your biggest trade chip? How in the world is he going to embezzle them from getting a decent return? Its not like he would go to the Padres and Say, trade me to the cubs for Marshall straight up. The Package the cubs would offer wont be overpaying but will probably be fair. You act as if getting Vitters and prospects is a garbage package. The Fans wont turn against Peavy because as it mentioned above, the padres gave peavy the NTC and you make it sound as if peavy is telling the padres who gets traded for him. You're not going to get any sort of fair value for a player of Peavy's caliber if you only have 1 team that you *have* to trade him to. Peavy would be forcing the Padres to trade him for less than he'd be worth on the open market. So why wouldn't fans be mad when Peavy screws his former team into getting much less than he's worth?

  24. :( That...is beyond depressing. He needs to become a minority owner with whoever wins the bid. Maybe everyone is excited that he would put money in scouting and development, but isn't he saying the same things Andy MacPhail always got bashed for--be good enough to win the division and take your chance in the playoffs? Yeah but he didn't follow through.
