  1. There's your Lambeau Leap.
  2. Sounds about right for a Steelers road game even in Chicago. The secondary market for tickets seemed high even for a Bears home opener?
  3. I think it's ridiculous too. They went 0-12 last year and start out this season 2-1 and they are ranked?
  4. It's partly cloudy and warm here in Chicago, although I do remember hearing about rain later today. We haven't had any sort of rain in Chicago in over 3 weeks so we're certainly due. I've analyzed this game all week and thought about all the angles. I think there will be a desperation for the Bears here considering the fact that everyone is writing them off after the Urlacher injury, and the fact that they can't start out 0-2 with the Vikings and Packers probably starting 2-0. That said, I'm going with my head and predicting a Steelers win, 17-13. Cutler 18-30 187 yards 1 TD Forte 22 carries, 74 yards, 3 rec, 26 yards I really hope I'm wrong though.
  5. I know, only one 12pm Bears game in the first 5 weeks of the season.
  6. Man, Bradley is such a dick.
  7. It's tough because while we are starting out with a tough slate of games, the Packers and Vikings both have easy paths to 3-0 (i'm pretty sure). If the Bears started 0-3 and the Packers and Vikings started 3-0, we're in big trouble and panic might start to set in for the team. There is no Mike Brown on this team to tell the media that we stink.
  8. I know everyone thinks they have pixie dust or whatever, but I honestly don't see the Cardinals in the World Series. I don't think their lineup is that good outside of Pujols and Holliday (and yes those are 2 formidable players). Their top 2 in their rotation are really really good and both have playoff experience, but I feel like a team like the Phillies will shut them down offensively and take the series. I think they have a better than average chance to beat the Dodgers but won't get past the Phillies (assuming they beat the Rockies). My NL Playoff prediction: Cardinals over Dodgers in 4 Phillies over Rockies in 4 Phillies over Cardinals in 6
  9. The only way DeRo comes back is if the Cardinals win the World Series and DeRosa's versitility in the playoffs is a big part of that, and played up a lot by the media. Then Hendry will be forced to emulate the current World Champs and give him big $$$
  10. LOL, Theriot is such a good baserunner. OK now it's going off. I don't feel like watching DeRo and Co celebrating in a mob pile at home plate whenever that will occur.
  11. I'm almost positive the Cubs aren't going to score again so I am going to turn this ish off.
  12. And it works. God bless the law of averages.
  13. Putting in the reliever with the most home runs allowed to face the leagues HR leader is high comedy.
  14. I'm shocked the sac bunt didn't work.
  15. Wow, Geo looks at 3 straight strikes. Nice job Soto. Does he realize that a walk really does nothing in that situation. Lou just wasted an out, and Geo responds by looking at 3 straight pitches. Protect the damn plate with 2 strikes.
  16. Lou: Gosh we gotta get that guy to second base somehow. Who is good at making outs? Miles: Hey Lou, you said I could hit today. Is it time yet? Is it time yet? Is it time yet?
  17. Awesome. Aaron Miles PHing in the 5 hole.
  18. How would a 2 out squeeze have helped matters?
  19. It didn't. 7 did. They only technically needed 5 runs, but 7 is what won it.
  20. Go Bea- uhh Bul- uhhh 2010 Cu- uhhhhhhhh first post Soriano Cubs team!
  21. DeAngelo Smith? Is that the CB from Cincinnati? My gf being from Cincinnati I got stuck watching a couple Cincinnati games over the last 2 years and thought he looked good. Good enough for the pros, probably not but funny that he's on the Bears now.
  22. The starters really blew this series for the Cubs
  23. Well also his OPS isn't .800+ like you suggested. It's .791
