  1. That's not a fair comparison and you know it. Orton has better receivers and a better o-line. Cutler has a pretty mediocre group of WR's playing pretty well. Yes, he's made his share of mistakes, but the fact remains. I don't disagree with what you wrote but it has nothing to do with what I said. I said Orton is better than what you guys thought when he was traded and Cutler is worse. Orton is exactly the player I expected him to be. Makes smart throws much of the time, has decent accuracy inside 50 yards, cannot throw the long ball, cannot take over the game and lead a team to victory against above average defenses. I've been pointing out all year how well Orton played before his injury last year, and I know I'm not the only Bears fan. Also, put any QB on a team with a halfway decent O-Line and receivers and you will see a decent QB.
  2. He was on the run but it was a poor throw and he knew it
  3. 10 yards away from taking the lead and the Bears have to punt :(
  4. They did...the Cleveland game. Doing well against the Cleveland Offense requires having a pulse. That doesn't count. I don't think shutting down SF is all that much to brag about either
  5. They did...the Cleveland game.
  6. Forte had ~15 yards on one carry, and ~ 19 yards on the other 14 carries
  7. This is just an extremely undisciplined and team. Lovie looks like an uncoordinated buffoon right now.
  8. Yeah half the INTs Cutler has thrown this year have a lot to do with the receivers, but a few of those plays were dangerous throws that shouldn't have been thrown
  9. League interception leaders: Cutler 15 Delhomme 13 Stafford 12
  10. And then immediately after that, the current QB throws his 3rd INT, 2nd horrible one of the night.
  11. 14 TDs, 15 INTs for Cutler this year
  12. Who knows what might have been different if Urlacher and Pisa didn't get lost for the year basically in the first half of the first game of the season. I don't think the Vikings are as good as advertised (but better than the Bears). They should have lost 2 of the games they won, and could easily be 5-3 instead of 7-1. I know, should have but they didn't means nothing, but it leads me to believe the Vikings aren't as good as their record. I could easily see the Bears and Vikings tied 5-3 in the division if a few things broke the other way. The talent gap isn't as big as the records indicate IMO.
  13. What percentage of punts and kickoff returns would you estimate get called back by penalties? I would estimate 20-25% of them.
  14. really dude? I'm not allowed to be happy for my team? WTF? When the Bears score there are going to be 10 posts with essentially the same thing. Maybe the thread titles each week should be The Bears Thread: Where only posts from Bears fans are allowed. Pretend that is the title. If that's what you want than go to a Bears message board not a Cubs one. Thank God the Bears don't play the 49ers every year.

  16. I think the quote that sums up the Bears season was said by Aikman last week. "I thought high school football was played on Fridays" This is such a mistake filled DUMB football team. Jay Cutler on third and goal from the 3 tries to throw the ball through 4 defenders, wanting to boost up his TD totals and not caring about the 3 points he's giving away. Then he literally just stands there with no clue the play clock is about to run out. He wasn't even in position to hike the ball, he's still reading the defense. And then the DOG on the FG with a TO left, how dumb can you be? Is there not one person on the team who is in charge of looking at the play clock and calling a TO if it runs down? If they don't have one, they should hire one because it reflects poorly on the entire coaching staff taking 2 DOG penalties on the drive and on both of them it is pretty obvious no one was watching the play clock.
  17. HAHAHAHAH I LOVE IT
  18. Just my opnion, but the Bears need to score a TD on this possession or they aren't coming back
  19. False start, holding, then slipped and fell down on a comeback route and the DB picked it off and returned it to like the 10. Awesome. This team rocks. Also, he didn't come back enough on a comeback play, and the DB jumped the route and had the INT but dropped it just now.
  20. That's 9 INTs in 2.5 night games for Cutler right? We have the Eagles next Sunday night too...
  21. Almost the third INT in 5 passes for Cutler
  22. I just lost my signal watching it on 50, and had to switch to NFL network to get it to work
  23. Haha before that play started, I saw 8 Bears up on the line and said out loud "please don't all be blitzing...please don't all be blitzing...please don't all be blitzing" and of course they all blitzed, they all failed to get pressure, and SF got a pretty good opportunity for a first down. You can definitely see the quality of talent decrease between the Cardinals offense and the 49ers.
  24. I am looking at the DVOA rankings for offensive lines. Surprisingly, the Bears O-line is ranked 21st in the league. But when they break it down position by position, the Bears LT is ranked 30th in the NFL. Of course that is Orlando Pace's position.
