  1. Not trying to compare him to Penix. That dude is definitely more NFL ready than JJ. What a beast
  2. I think he shows enough flashes to get pro scouts interested. He’s elusive and can extend plays with his legs, has NFL arm strength, praised for intangibles and leadership. But definitely some holes in his game that need development. Accuracy is inconsistent, sometimes has trouble reading the defense. I could see him becoming an NFL starter and I could see him never playing a meaningful snap in the NFL. The reality is probably somewhere in the middle.
  3. Holy horsefeathers was that awesome. I know most of you hate Michigan but damn that was like the culmination of an entire lifetime's worth of fandom right there. I nearly died when the punt was dropped late. Cannot believe they pulled it off. 1 more to go! Shout out to my fellow Michigan NSBBer @sneakypower and shout out to Juwan Howard for losing a buy game to a low major this week to ensure that the balance between Michigan football and Michigan basketball was maintained
  4. Plus QBR accounts for his legs too right? So you can't say "well add in the running game and hes much better"
  5. If you didn’t watch any Bears games and just looked at these stats, would you come to the conclusion that Fields made any leap this year? Obviously there are many more ways to analyze his performance beyond these basic numbers but it kind of jumped out at me when I went to his page just now. it seems like the momentum is trending towards Fields staying and if that’s going to be the case I want to get there mentally where I am behind the decision. From watching the games it sort of feels like he improved but I’m not sure.
  6. Jordan love in his first full season has tied the total of the Bears single season passing TD record. wtf
  7. TB plays Carolina actually. The Saints play Atlanta So you’d have LAR at 9-7 in the 6th seed and then CHI, NO, TB, SEA, and the GB/MIN winner all tied at 8-8 for the last playoff spot. One of them would be the NFC South leader but otherwise 4 teams all tied at 8-8
  8. Yeah it’s gotten to the point where just one of them would drastically change their position. They wouldn’t be in control of their destiny because the Saints and Bucs would both own the H2H tiebreaker and have the same record but their path to the playoffs would be reasonable heading into the last week. Dont blow 2 of those games and the Bears are in a win and in situation or a lose plus get help situation Don’t blow all 3 and they have clinched a playoff spot already
  9. Edit: nevermind, bukie already posted the scenario. Hey the last time I was rooting for a tie was that LV/LAC game that would have put both teams in the playoffs and it was 3 seconds from happening. Maybe we’ll have better luck this time.
  10. @bukiewhere did you see the Bears still alive with GB/Min tie? Even if they are both out of the picture at 7-9-1, the Bears still need to pass Seattle and either NO or TB. Since we lost H2H with NO and TB and didn’t play Seattle I assume we lose any multi team tiebreakers involving those teams and with the Saints win today the best we could do is tie them and the Bucs are also 8-8 i mean this is all just to be nerdy but you and I both like that kind of stuff. The Bears aren’t going to make the playoffs but I’d love to investigate wild improbable outcomes lol
  11. I’ll give him some credit for keeping the team together and improving but also recognize that this was one of the easiest SOS in the league. Who knows what their record would be if they played a schedule like last years
  12. Moot now but the Bears would have still needed 3-4 other things to go their way in Week 18 to have a shot with a win in their game. Not sure about the Packers
  13. No the Rams and Giants each missed an XP earlier in the game
  14. Already been 2 missed XP in this game, not sure the FG conditions are good.
  15. And Bears piling it on 37-17
  16. Giants in FG range
  17. Giants getting the ball back down 1 with 1:08 left and 0 TOs,
  18. Fields QB rating down to 99.5 today, but that probably weighed down by lack of TD passes. Y/A iand comp % are decent
  19. haha ok. Assuming the Steelers still need to beat the Seahawks though?
  20. Giants just tied the Rams with 3 mins left! Edit: nevermind the Giants went for 2 and didnt get it
  21. Giants getting the ball down 7 with about 3 mins left in the Bears playoff hopes
  22. Up 10, Falcons ball, 8:43 left. Getting interesting
  23. what a horsefeathers stupid penalty for Jones. wtf are you doing?
