    I find it hard to believe the Sharks haven't committed a single penalty in 2 periods. I can't recall a single play I thought should have been a clear call, though. True. I just feel like these things tend to even out. I can't see the Hawks getting called on 1-2 penalties in the 3rd and having the penalties finish 6-0 in favor of SJ.

    The Cubs have officially scored more runs than the Pittsburgh Pirates during a designated continuous 9 inning (27 out) span.

    Is it just me or does it seem like the best strategy for beating Niemi is to take more shots from the point? I feel like a majority of the goals he gives up are when he's screened theres a good shot on net from the point. Throughout the playoffs I feel like he's done good on most loose, not all, pucks around the net. Of course the downside of more shots from the outside is that the hawks are a ridiculously good team at blocking shots with their bodies. Either way, that's one of the best periods of hockey I've seen out of a blackhawks goaltender all year.

    I am extremely scared of the Sharks when they are playing well. They just keep coming and coming. What a fantastic second period. Wow.

    I'm sure SJ hasnt committed any penalties all game. I hope we spend half the 3rd on the PP

    Dammit, we had a couple amazing attempts there. I can't believe they couldn't put one in on that last feed from Soupy to Buff.

    We are not playing very well at all right now. In fact, I'd say we are getting destroyed out there. I'm not used to seeing the Hawks get outshot by 8 SOG not even midway through the 2nd.

    The Sharks are definitely the most talented team we've faced this year. Just watching the first 25 minutes has gained me a lot of respect for our opponents.

    We're making a "push" but we havent been able to get any good attempts on goal.

    Plus, you know they were going to come out firing. I say we've withstood the rush of the momentum of a home team playing in their first Western Conference final game. Hopefully we can tie it and take control. I don't know if this is what you meant by "first" but the Sharks have been in the WCF before. But it's possible you meant first in this series.

    I guess being down 1-0 after 1 period on the road after spending 6 minutes of the period shorthanded isn't the worst result in the world. There is definitely room for improvement though.

    I'm glad the announcers did that. Two less minutes for me to stress over an upcoming PP. HOW DID U MISS THAT TOEWS?? This team cannot hit an open net for the life of them.

    How funny...the OTHER team is getting called for running into the goalie.

    I'm a bit concerned with the inability to get any sustained possessions in the Sharks zone.
