I haven't spent a ton of time in Chicago, but from my memory those types of shirts aren't so widespread that you can find them in malls. That's the case in St. Louis. Good point. I haven't been to STL since I was a kid (and I'm a better man for it), so I have no frame of reference there. It's quite interesting over there. And yes they really really hate the Cubs. I was there in August 08 and I just so happened to pack a Cubs shirt and wore it one Saturday. Oh and it just so happened that the Cubs were playing the Cardinals but at Wrigley Field, and on that particular day the Cubs got blown out (but won the series anyways). I got approached by at least 7 St. Louis residents whose comments ranged from friendly banter, to assholes who told me I wasn't welcomed in St. Louis wearing that. Meanwhile, I see idiots walking around in Cardinals gear all the time in Lakeview and no one thinks twice. I mean part of it is that area of Chicago (and Chicago in general) being a transplant city, so its not unusual to see people in Chicago wearing Cardinals/Tigers/Brewers/Twins/Indians gear (probably the most common in that order).
