  1. Are they though? I honestly don't know how I could judge his defense other than by my eyes, but all accounts I read is that he's a very good defensive player, at least at 2B. Maybe people were just overrated him because of our no range MI's but who knows.
  2. Yes please. Then come to DePaul
  3. Technically it's co-hosted by both Butler and the Horizon League, but yeah that's nuts.
  4. Scott McClain! What about Die Hard!!!!
  5. Should be interesting to see how Marmol does right now. He threw 3 straight balls to start his outing, but 2 straight strikes since then.
  6. Cubs going into the season without a real shortstop on the roster yet again.
  7. Was that the last game of the 4-game sweep right at the end of July where the Cubs won in a blowout? my favorite regular season series of all time. it topped the 5 game set against the cards in 2003 That was a great series, but it doesn't top the 5 game Cards set for me. Agreed. 2003's was better. From Mark Prior dominating the crap out of the Cards in the first game, to Sosa hitting a walkoff in the second, to Alou getting screwed and Alf bumping the ump unintentionally because he didn't realize how fat he was, from coming down from 6-0 in the 4th game, to winning an Estes start in the 5th game, that was the ultimate series. The 2008 series was more of a smackdown, which was nice and had a lot of drama because the Cubs were in a big slump and allowed the Brewers to tie them in the standings 2 days before, but because it was a smackdown, it didn't have the drama of the 2003 series, plus it wasn't at the end of the season plus it wasn't against the Cardinals.
  8. I laughed out loud.
  9. You took a lot of high injury prone pitchers on your staff that would worry me if I had your team. your pitching looks highly suspect, and i think you're going to be struggling in hr, rbi, and maybe ops Well OPS isn't a stat for me, just OBP and SLG as 2 seperate stats. But I am worried about RBIs and to a lesser extent HRs. However the team you see above is no the team I'll have next Monday most likely.
  10. Pot calling the kettle black but I'd be worried about your starters. Webb won't be back until May right? Carp is solid but injury concerns, Lackey is moving to the AL East, and Johnson is solid but has also had injury issues in the recent past. That said, the upside is really high but the risk is great too. Hitting is pretty decent but could use more depth (for instance in case Soriano blows again)
  11. Attendance was not what it is today, but for the most part it was still very good. Looking at the numbers on BR.com, it looks like the area the Cubs had the smallest crowds were almost all in April (a few more in may and a few more in Septmeber. But they still sold out (or at least drew 38,000) to just about every weekend game between June and August, which is their typical peak period.
  12. Thank God the NCAA Tourney/Office was on last night so I didn't have to watch more than a couple minutes of that garbage.
  13. WOW!!!! What an unreal game!!! He hit that from Provo.
  14. 30-4 run for Kentucky wow.
  15. Combined Chicago sports blowout 67-35
  16. Brittanie Cecil scores a goal.
  17. That's insanely hilarious that he put him back in and he gave up 2 more goals. 7 goals allowed in 24 shots for Huet.
  18. Greg Oden scores a goal.
  19. Eddie George scores a goal.
  20. Combined Chicago team blowout is 55-29
  21. today? Yeah, we probably aren't anymore
  22. 6-1....remember when we lead the West in least goals allowed.
  23. Not a particularly great start for the Bulls. Would hate to see the Bulls and Hawks simultaneously get blown out
