    I think at this point we need to pretend like the score is still 0-0 and not play like we are trying to make up a 4 goal deficit. Let's face it, Vancouver is probably going to win game 1. But if we can finish this game strong at the very least we could steal some momentum before game 2. We do not want to finish this game losing by 4+ goals. With using to Vancouver for 2 afterwards, game 2 is a must must win.

    I can't believe how excited I was today for this game. This is like a slap in the face.

    No doubt. I guess I kinda thought that they would turn it up once the games started mattering more. Edit: In other words I was hoping that their play was due to being locked into a top 3 seed from January on as well as being fatigued from the Olympics.

    We are getting completely dominated right now. We don't look like we belong on the same ice as Vancouver this period

    Commentators really hammering the Hawks on their sloppy play in their own zone. He's right though, tons of horrible turnovers, blind passes, etc. They are questioning the Hawks focus.

    Now that is what a good PP looks like, even if they didn't score. Tons of great chances for them.

    I'm worried for this game, not necessarily for the series. I fully expected Vancouver to steal one of the 2 games in Chicago, just like I fully expect the Hawks to take 1 of the 2 in Vancouver.

    What an up and down goalie Niemi is. For every great save he makes, he lets in one like that.

    I'm impressed with how we've been able to outplay them so far. But at the same time that should be expected starting the series with the home crowd behind you. I think these are 2 really evenly matched teams and the winner is going to be the one that gets the most breaks. So far that team is Vancouver.

    Both PPs we've had a lot of difficulty establishing the puck in our zone after it got cleared.

    wtf are you talking about? he was hooked and drew a penalty I didn't see the hook at first, I was still disapointed with the other play and my immediate reaction is that he needed to put a better shot on net there.

    What a shitty goal to allow after several great saves. Hawks have been slightly outplaying vancouver and they are rewarded with a deficit.

    Huge save by Niemi. Both teams have had some pretty good chances so far.

    Lots of juicy rebounds given up by Luongo so far. Unfortunately none have bounced out direction yet.

    I tihnk we've lost every faceoff in the game so far. That's killing us so far.
