    My final pregame prediction tends to lean for Giants, but I believe this is a really winnable game. The way the NFL is, it really just makes sense that the Giants win this. Then again, everytime you think you've figured out the NFL it surprises you. Let's prove me wrong yet again!

    Let's do this! It would be funny though if the Bears lost and the Chiefs were the last remaining unbeaten team this year. Well it wouldnt be funny for us but just in general.

    At this point I am pretty convinced that God hate the Lions. They could easily be 3-1.

    Z's ERA is now down to 3.24 and if it stayed at that level would be the 3rd lowest ERA of his career. 2005: 2.74 2003: 3.11 2010: 3.24 2005: 3.26

    These NL playoffs keep getting interesting. SD was on life support after the Cubs manhandled them all week, going into the weekend down 3 in the division and 2 in the Wild card. After SD beat the Giants last night and today, and the Phillies took 2 over the Braves, the Padres and Braves are now tied for the WC, and SD is now just 1 GB SF with 1 game to play. Here are the scenarios I am seeing for tomorrow: 1) SF beats SD ATL beats PHI RESULT: SF is NL West Champ, ATL is Wild Card 2) SF beats SD PHI beats ATL RESULT: SF is NL West Champ, ATL and SD play in Atlanta on Monday for the Wild Card 3) SD beats SF PHI beats ATL RESULT: SD is NL West Champ due to tiebreaker (12-5 H2H) over SF, SF wins Wild Card 4) SD beats SF ATL beats PHI RESULT: Fun stuff. SD and SF will play Monday in San Diego for the NL West title, the loser of this travels to Atlanta to play ATL for Wild Card on Tuesday. I had to look up the last scenario, because I thought previously they considered a 1 game playoff to be a regular season game, and the records counted in their regular season record, meaning the loser of the NL West 1 game playoff would fall 1/2 game behind ATL for the Wild Card, and thus Atlanta would win the WC. Did they change that recently?

    The rankings are so stupid. It's been pretty obvious that Michigan isn't one of the best 25 teams in the country for 2-3 weeks now. But because they haven't actually lost to any of the crappy teams they've played they remained ranked until the first halfway decent team they play destroys them.

    One of the picks I'm sure they'd trade is a future Charlotte pick, which if things break our way, could be unprotected in a few years. Definitely more valuable than one of our picks, although chances are it will be in the 10-15 range.

    I am reading a Giants blog right now and looking at their comments. They are really really loving the Cubs right now (obviously). They are praising the team for not just playing out the string, they are campaigning for Quade to be the next manager. One even said the Giants should owe the Cubs a favor for the next time the Cubs need one. Glad we could at least ruin someone elses year since ours was completely irrelevant.

    I expected the experts to side slightly more in favor of the Bears. The 2 main reasons why their thinking that way is: 1) The Giants looked horrible last week but they aren't THIS horrible of a team. The experts cannot see them falling to 1-3 2) The Bears are a surprise 3-0 but haven't dominated anyone and are due for a loss. The Bears have an easy schedule ahead and no expert thinks the Bears can start off 7-0 because they aren't a 7-0 caliber team. Therefore a desperate Giants team on the road should take them in the experts mind.

    I didn't like what they did in the offseason. I thought people said that they would be a challenger this year though. I mean anything's possible in the East.

    Since the Hawks won the Cup, I've had a new co-worker from Philly take up residence in the cube next to mine. I have called him over repeatedly to show him things like the SC engraving the other day, and now the ring. I just want him to see what would have happened if they won, why is he so angry?

    I heard that the Packers lost this past Monday to the Chicago Bears? Is this true? If so, does this mean that the Bears are the superior team? Please let me know as I am anxiously awaiting responses. PS. Since this is clearly the biggest game of the year for the Bears (right?), is it appropriate to celebrate like they just won the Super Bowl? Because it's pretty clear that this one football game now and forever clearly determines the superior football franchise.
