    The defense is fine for the most part. It's hard to keep playing well when the offenses longest drive is like 6 plays, and then after that like 4 plays. No, the defense was giving up plays left and right from the start today. They aren't good. They are occasionally opportunistic, but not good. They gave up a TD on the first drive. That's allowed to happen. Next 3 drives were 4 plays 10 yards, 3 plays, -1 yards, 3 plays 8 yards. Then the Bears started going 3 and out on every play and the D tired. I'm not saying the D played great today, but they haven't been at all the problem. The defense has been weak from the start of today's game. There's no ifs ands or buts. It's been bad for 3 years, and it's bad right now. You saying 'no ifs ands and buts' doesn't prove anything or make your statement true. Our defense was fine, until our offense started going 3 and out every drive. The Bears have been on defense for just about 2/3rds of the game so far.

    Can you imagine when we're gonna be in a position where we have to win 3 of 4 against the Vikings, Jets, Patriots and Packers to make the playoffs.

    Seriously....here are the number of plays of every Bears drive today: 4 3 3 3 7 4 7 2 4 4 Only 2 drives today that were more than 4 plays.

    Have we ever successfully stopped the slant pass? If I was an opposing offensive coordinator, I'd run the slant once every 2-3 plays.

    4 play drive, it was given that a sack was coming since he didn't get sacked on the first 3 plays. Bears just absolutely can not sustain a drive of any decent length. Here comes the defense huffing back onto the field.

    Cutler makes passes weekly that Orton can only envision when he's jerking it. Orton is a solid QB, I have more respect than most, and did when the Cutler trade was made. But Cutler is better.

    I'm not trying to be overly pessimistic, because im not saying we can't win this game, but it doesn't look good. We aren't moving the ball at all save a few big plays, we can't sustain any sort of drive because we can't block for the QB for 3 consecutive plays, and we are 0-6 on 3rd down. It's hard to win when all those things happen. And worst of all, because we can't sustain a drive, our defense never gets a big rest so they are bound to wear down as the game goes along. Not a receipe for winning football.

    Hey who is this Mike Williams guy? I haven't seen him in any of the other plays today.

    We ran a lot the first 3 drives of the game and kept getting stuffed, other than Forte's TD run. Not to say that 3 drives is enough time to give up on the run game, but they cut back on it after that and after Seattle took a lead.

    Do you think scouts put "crumples into a ball directly after the snap" into their reports when evaluating o-liners?

    Unbelievable. They are milking the clock too and get the ball to start the 2nd half. This is turning into a nightmare. Cmon guys.

    Why the hell do you need to send 7-8 men on that play? That never works. [expletive] we suck today.

    They are abusing the side of the field that Briggs is supposed to be on.
