  1. KANE TO SHARP! That was sick. Hawks finally leave their own zone due to a mishandle by Buffalo and Kane finds Sharp on a really pretty pass on the break, who puts it in the empty net for a 1-0 lead
  2. Hawks are getting completely dominated early on in this one. Thankfully its still 0-0 but won't be for long the way Buffalo is skating.
  3. That's awesome. What game? Nebraska to pull within 7. They went for the onside kick with 3 minutes to go (no idea why), Texas recovers easily. A Nebraska loss would definitely help out the Big Ten's chances of a 2nd BCS bid at this point. Ironic that the Big 10 needs Nebraska to lose for their benefit.
  4. 2 close losses in a row to Iowa looks like. I don't know if I should gain confidence that we were somewhat close to Iowa, or if I should continue along the "UM's not/barely making a bowl game" bandwagon.
  5. That's awesome. What game?
  6. I stopped watching when it was 28-7, did RRod pull DRob for Forcier or was there an injury?
  7. I think predicting how the 2011 season will play out during the previous year's LCS is a bit pointless. Although I do think its gonna be really hard for the Cubs to get outside of a 75-85 loss range next year unless a lot goes right in the offseason.
  8. You haven't watched Michigan's defense much this season. This is how they always start off. You'll make adjustments and we'll be stuck with our thumbs up our ass. I have but I've also watched Iowa's offense for the past few years. I could see them getting somewhat shut down. Hasn't happeed yet this except for UConn.
  9. LOL it took Iowa almost a whole quarter to score against MICHIGAN.
  10. And there goes all that potential from their recruiting class 2 years ago.
  11. This series is seriously over. Unbelievable.
  12. Clay Rapada pitched a total of 9 innings for the Rangers this year, and I don't believe he had pitched in the playoffs yet. And that's the guy you bring in with 2 on and 0 out in the late innings of a 1 run ball game?
  13. You live in the New York area and you're complaining about Chicago's female accents?
  14. Any word on Lance Briggs today? He hadn't practiced all week and word was if he didn't practice today he wasn't going to play most likely.
  15. I'm starting to reevaluate how good the Seahawks are. I didn't realize just how much turnover they've had since Carrol took over. I heard on the radio that they've made (I think) 217 different roster moves since he took over in the Spring, by far the most in the NFL in that time. Makes me really wonder if it's fair to judge them partially on last years team. In this years team, at home they destroyed the 49ers and beat the admittedly slumping Chargers. On the road they've been outscored by about 40 points in their 2 games. Who knows how good they are. All we know for sure is that they have a good run D and special teams (at least kick returner). I think the Bears will win but it will be closer than expected. Something like 24-20.
  16. Let them say whatever they want. We won the Cup last year and no one can take that from us. And if anything, this year is to be an abberation. Once the plethora of draft picks and prospects catch up to the NHL level, theoretically we should be back at the top, if we aren't still there this year (remains to be seen).
  17. Heh remember when we beat Seattle in the playoffs the year after the refs screwed you guys out of a super bowl title? Yeahthat was fun.
  18. Ladies and gentlemen your 2010-2011 Rockago IceHawks!!!!
  19. I play in a non-PPR league that gets 1 point per 20 yards of receiving so I didn't even look at his receiving stats. As a pure rusher he's not doing much, only have 1 game with more than 77 yards rushing and 1 rushing TD.
  20. I wanted to see that for myself....Week 17 of 2006 against SF. So here is the setup. On the first drive of the 2nd quarter of the game, Jay Cutler is sacked on a play that is eventually flagged for an illegal contact penalty. Jake Plummer comes in to finish the series, and plays the rest of the half. Jay Cutler returns to start the 3rd and promptly throws a Pick 6 on his first possession. The next possession is detailed below: Denver Broncos at 6:25, (1st play from scrimmage 6:16) SFO DEN 1st and 10 at 50 (6:16) J.Cutler pass short left to R.Smith pushed ob at SF 35 for 15 yards (S.Spencer). 1st and 10 at SF 35 (5:44) J.Cutler pass short left to T.Scheffler pushed ob at SF 19 for 16 yards (K.Lewis). 1st and 10 at SF 19 (5:17) PENALTY on DEN-T.Bell, False Start, 5 yards, enforced at SF 19 - No Play. 1st and 15 at SF 24 (4:57) J.Cutler pass incomplete deep left to T.Scheffler. Timeout #1 by DEN at 04:51. 2nd and 15 at SF 24 (4:51) J.Cutler pass short left to R.Smith pushed ob at SF 14 for 10 yards (W.Harris). 3rd and 5 at SF 14 (4:18) (Shotgun) J.Cutler pass short right to R.Smith to SF 4 for 10 yards (S.Spencer). Timeout #2 by DEN at 03:37. 1st and 4 at SF 4 (3:37) M.Bell right guard to SF 5 for -1 yards (M.Douglas; B.Moore). 2nd and 5 at SF 5 (2:51) J.Cutler sacked at SF 14 for -9 yards (M.Roman). Timeout #3 by DEN at 02:16. 3rd and 14 at SF 14 (2:16) (Shotgun) J.Cutler pass short left to J.Walker pushed ob at SF 4 for 10 yards (M.Roman). 4th and 4 at SF 4 (1:48) J.Elam 22 yard field goal is GOOD, Center-M.Leach, Holder-J.Plummer. 17 16 P.Ernster kicks 59 yards from DEN 30 to SF 11. M.Hicks to SF 31 for 20 yards (N.Jackson). DRIVE TOTALS: SF 17 DEN 16, 9 plays, 46 yards, 4:40 drive, 13:15 elapsed San Francisco 49ers at 1:45, (1st play from scrimmage 1:39) I don't know if a ton of things scream "He's concussed" other than the timeouts (3 of them in a 5 play span), and all of the passes but 1 being short passes. They certainly didn't run the ball to ease him back into the game. After that here is how the rest of the drives in the game went: 1. Completed short pass that was fumbled away on the 2nd play of the drive 2. Three incompletions and a punt 3. A TD drive comprised completely of short passes 4. 2 short passes up the middle, 3 straight rushes and a punt 5. A drive where he went 2-5 for 7 total yards and a punt. Game over.
  21. I had no idea that he had 4 other concussions in his career. How many did Steve Young have until he was basically mentally unable to play anymore? Most concussions go unreported. I don't think it's all that noteworthy that there are newspaper articles referring to previous ones. My fear for Cutler's future as the Bears quarterback lies on the weakness of the offensive line, not his history of concussions. Yeah but you can't keep suffering concussions and expect to be fine after some rest. Eventually it effects you mentally. I'm not saying I'm worried about Cutler now, I'm just worried that he's already had 5 reported and who knows how many unreported. With the Bears O-line he could potentially have another this year.
  22. It's very interesting. On the Schaub part of the trade, you are buying low on Schaub (whose been slightly disapointing this year) and Gore (big disapointment). Jackson is probably trading for his value at this point (2 great weeks w/ Vick followed by 2 bad weeks with Kolb). And Pittsburgh D you are buying high mostly. On the other end you have Rivers who is playing like a top 3 QB in fantasy so far. Buying high or is he being valued correctly? Moss is a slight unknown with big upside. By unknown I mean, he's gonna be good but how good. McFadden is maybe buying high (definitely buying high before week 5). He's got great numbers the first 3 weeks, but only 12 carries last game with the coach reinterating Bush is the starter for them. Tampa's D i don't know about. Definitely been good and opportunistic. But they are so young. I'm guessing you trying for the Schaub side of the trade. It's definitely interesting because if Schaub and Gore play up to par, they could easily win the trade for you. I trust Jackson to be a solid #2 fantasy WR all year. And you get an elite D. At first I veered towards the Rivers side, and mostly because I don't like Gore this year at all. But I think put a gun to my head I take the Schaub side.
  23. Does this scare the crap out of anyone else besides me? I had no idea that he had 4 other concussions in his career. How many did Steve Young have until he was basically mentally unable to play anymore?
  24. Scott has been beyond awful, Boynton is ok as a 6th/7th defensemen i guess. Hendry is not even good enough to be that. All 3 leaving Chicago would make my life more peaceful.
  25. Exactly....we were down 2 defeners tonight, which was the most intact area of our team from last year. I have no doubt we can recover from this slow start and play much better. It's gonna take time though.
