  1. 19 hours and 15 mins.
  2. On more note, with the results of today, the Hawks have a better point differential for the season than Detroit does (+23 to +21), and is 2nd in the west to Vancouver (+38)
  3. Also, with that 5 day break, most of the rest of the league has caught up to us in games. In fact, before today's game, there were only 2 teams in the West that played less games than us, and only one of those teams (St. Louis) is in contention for a playoff spot. Which means that we're in 6th place in points, tied with Anaheim who has played 2 more games than us, and 1 point behind Phoenix, who has played as many games as us. Also of course, just 8 points behind Detoilet. Hard climb but not impossible, especially with 3 more games against them.
  4. It's always nice to play the Red Wings on 5 days of rest. Haha we looked great today. Hopefully we saved enough for tomorrow. It would be AWESOME to take 4/4 points over the best and 3rd best point teams in the league on back to back days. What a statement that would make to the NHL. Hopefully Toews is ok, he wasn't on the ice since he got that stick in his midsection.
  5. Truffle, you said the Packers are "usually good" which I somehow took as "better than the Bears". Sorry if that was not what you meant. I thought you were suggesting an inferiority complex for the reason bears fans hate gb, which is not at all true.
  6. p do tell. Why do I hate the Packers? Because thats how my father brought me up . Why does he hate them? It's what his father brought him up to do. Why do Bears fans in general hate the Packers, i.e. when did the formations of the rivalry begin? Some would say it started back in 1924 when a Bears player and a Packers player were ejected for fighting on the field. The teams never liked each other. George Halas was famous for his disdain of the Packers. It has nothing to do with teams being in the same division for a long time. And it has nothing to do with the Packers being better more often, considering the Bears hold the all time head to head record. That 1941 playoff game that everyone is mentioning, was held in Chicago and drew 43,000 people. The next week the Bears played the Giants in Chicago for the championship and it drew 14,000. It's a rivalry fueled by hate that has been around since they started playing each other
  7. You have no idea what you are talking about.
  8. One thing that does worry me a bit about the Bears is that in their last 4 home games they've given up 26, 36, 34 and 24 points. I know in the Eagles and Seahawks game the points were in garbage time, but I wonder how much Soldier Field slows the Bears D down and allows the opponent to move the ball easier. I know everyone is happy that we are getting GB off the turf, but it can obviously work against us too. Sure we're familiar with it, but if its a bad fit for our defense, familiarity will only limit the damage.
  9. He's not going to be 100% for the game anyways. You think trotting out a broken down safety against the Packers receivers will work out? Broken down? lol He has a hip pointer. He'll take an injection and be fine. Chris Harris himself said he won't be 100% in time for the game. not 100% doesn't equal broken down. He could be less than 100% and take a pain killing shot before the game and play as if he was 100%. That's more or less what it sounds like its gonna be. Besides, Harris is part of a 3 man safety rotation, they sometimes rotate multiple times during drives. If Harris isn't performing, I have confidence that Wright can, unless he gets hurt for the 19th time this year. One thing I don't understand is that about a month ago people were saying Harris was having a below average year. Somehow the sentiment changed to him having a great year. Peter King even named him to his All Pro team. Really? I like Chris Harris but he's not an all around good safety. He's good in some parts of his game and medicore in others.
  10. i'm scared guys
  11. I have the Blue Jays winning this trade. Interesting move though. I never ever thought Wells and he deal could be traded.
  12. It's been like that all year. I shudder to think just how good the Packers would have been this year if they hadn't been decimated by injuries like they were. Maybe they would have even made the NFC Championship game
  13. I don't know about the rest of Bears fans, but I am cheering for the Jets in this game. However, if the Bears somehow lost their game on Sunday, I am switching my alliegences to the Steelers. Anyone else feel this way?
  14. That's because Martz was a stubborn fool in several games throwing the ball way too much. Exactly...look at our rushing yards in games early in the year.... 101 yards vs. DET 38 vs. DAL 77 vs. GB 59 vs. NYG 61 vs. SEA 66 vs. WAS then look post bye.... 105 vs. BUF 130 vs. MIN 135 vs. MIA 131 vs. PHI 114 vs. DET 104 vs. MIN 120 vs. NYJ 110 vs. GB 170 vs. SEA Basically, they only had two 100 yard rushing games, as a team, pre bye, and post bye we had only 1 game where we rushed for less than 100 yards as a team.
  15. It's just the idiot media trying to rationalize things by making loose comparisons since they don't watch every Bears game or follow them like us fans do. That's why the media is so BS and not worth listening to. They don't know anymore about anything than the average die hard.
  16. I was so close!!! He went with 30-17 Packers. Off by 1 point. Predictable. If the Bears lose by more than 10 points, I will put on Packer gear, take a picture and then post it on NSBB. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN!????!! He had one good game against a mediocre run D (philly), and then next week with all the hype he had 25 carries for 68 yards against Atlanta. Meanwhile the Bears have been destroying running games all year and James [expletive] Starks is supposed to be a factor in them winning? BS.
  17. I bet he picks the Packers by double digits. 31-17 Packers, Cutler throws 3 picks
  18. I thought for a minute he was gonna pick the Bears about 20 minutes ago when he posted 3 consecutive comments from readers about why the Bears should win and comparing it to the 06 NFC title game.
  19. Yup. I don't feel like going through Simmons' picks all year, but I'd think he have the Bears going about 4-13 if all his picks came true. Strangely enough one time he did pick the Bears is when they played the Pats.
  20. That wasn't a car, that was Erik riding around Halas hall on a tricycle.
  21. I never really thought about how rare it is for QBs to win road playoff games until Simmons wrote a comment about Sanchez in his chat today. The comment was that if Sanchez wins this weekend, he will be the first QB EVER with 5 postseason road victories in a career. And its his 2nd overall season!! So I started to look up a random grouping of QBs to see what their career road playoff records were: First get these out of the way: Rodgers: 2-1 Cutler: 0-0 Active players: Brady 3-2 P. Manning 2-5 E. Manning 3-1 Sanchez 4-1 Brees 0-2 Roethlisberger 3-0 Flacco 4-3 Retired players: Steve Young 0-3 Joe Montana 2-5 John Elway 3-3 Dan Marino 1-6 Brett Favre 3-7 (hopefully he's on this list for good) That's crazy. Flacco has never played a home playoff game, while Big Ben has played only home playoff games except 05 when he won all 3 road games to get to the Super Bowl. I guess it makes sense because the best QBs are usually on the best teams and the best teams win divisions and get byes, leaving it so you rarely play road games. The Bears haven't played a road playoff game in 16 years.
  22. I can't disagree. The team that runs the ball best this game wins. To me, that's the #1 factor. Sucks for the Packers then.
