Hawks cant do anything right. Making dumb decision after dumb decision. A 3 on 2, and Hossa isn't in position so Toews passes it to no mans land Hawks "clear attempt" weakly goes right to a wing defensemen centered with a clear path to the goal. Please get this period over with and regroup

I cannot remember our last SOG. Just got our first SOG in over 5 minutes

Hawks are being way too [expletive] cute out there. Hossa is on a 2 on 2 breakaway, has an open look at the net and instead tries to make an impossible pass through both Wings to a Hawk that wasn't even really in much better position, its turned over and the Wings have their own odd man rush.

Wings are definitely outplaying us right now. I wouldnt say they are dominating us but the ice is definitely tilted in their direction, which is the opposite of the 1st period.

That was one of the worst PPs I've seen by the Hawks all season. They looked really bad. At no point did it feel like the Hawks had one more man on the ice as the Wings were first to every spot during the PP. But full strength the Hawks have been solid so far.

Dammit...I knew I shouldnt have went with the closers of the two teams I hate. Franklin and Thornton are a combined 2/7 in save opportunities this year. Un real.

New York and Philly played each other last season in game 82, winner got into the playoffs, loser didn't. It went to SO. i know, but that game was still just for the 8 seed. the blackhawks can get the 5 seed or miss the playoffs based on the outcome of one game. if we win and get anaheim in the first round, we'll be favorites. or we could miss the playoffs completely. that's crazy Actually, the Flyers actually ended up with the 7 seed.

Who would you guys rather face in the 1st round should we make it? There are a lot of teams out there that want to get revenge on the Hawks for knocking them out of the playoffs. I am assuming whoever is the 4th seed is the ideal matchup. 2nd for me would be the Wings. Reason being that the Wings seem to be struggling down the stretch (3-5-2 in last 10) and it would be a good opportunity to get the Wings monkey off our backs. Next would probably be San Jose, but only because Vancouver is just that dominant this year. I wouldnt hate playing Vancouver, because if we beat them it would probably be the greatest thing ever, and the city of Chicago should probably request that Vancouver the GM Place as proof of ownership. At the same time, Vancouver is even better than last year, and I don't want to give up that mental edge by losing this series. But the most important thing is getting in. Phoenix is losing 1-0. This is good for 2 things. A Sharks win (or SOL) would clinch the 2 seed over the Wings, giving Detroit nothing to play for tomorrow. And if Phoenix loses and the Hawks win, we will get the 5th seed (right?)

Yeah that was an awful defense. It's a nearly impossible thing to argue anyways. Rose has had a fantastic season, but I don't know who would rather him than LeBron when starting a team.

Nashville just lost, meaning that if the Hawks get 2 points tomorrow they will finish at least 6th. They'd get 5th if Phoenix gets 0 points tonight. The difference between playing Vancouver and playing Anaheim or LA or whoever
