  1. It's much more enjoyable going into the third with the lead than behind. Please keep this going in the 3rd.
  2. There we go. Maybe this will be like the last Hawks-Blues game.
  3. It figures the only way the Hawks were going to score was on accident. I'll take it though.
  4. I'm taking my anger out on the Blues in NHL 11
  5. Nothing can take away from winning the Cup, and even if they went 0-82-0 this year, that would still be the case. But unbelievable how a year after winning the Cup, they could field a team this unlikable and disappointing. There is no excuse, including injuries, for a team with this much talent dispersed evenly through the offense and defense, to miss the playoffs. I know the depth wasn't supposed to be there this year, but all that should have precluded them from is winning the division.
  6. Hey he's got another whole goal since then!
  7. Not scoring with 1:44 5-on-3 time is like loading the bases with 0 outs and not scoring. Especially with Ty Conklin out there
  8. This team isn't going to come out of it's scoring slump this year are they?
  9. We'd better score with this 1:44 of 5-on-3. I'll cry if we don't
  10. When you've scored 1 goal in the last 2.5 games, its surely demoralizing to give up a goal in such a huge game 17 seconds into it.
  11. Turnover in their own zone and the Blues score 17 seconds into the game....unbelievable.
  12. Nice. There have been what seems like a million huge games for the Hawks this year. This game is another huge one. If the win this they are at worst 2 points up with 2 to go, and 2 points in the 2 Red Wings games would clinch at least a tie. If we lose this, we probably need 3 or 4 points to even go for a tie, and at the very minimum one of those games HAS to be a regulation win. So basically if we win tonight, I'd put our odds at 85%, if we lose maybe down to 30%
  13. Oh well....take away dempster starts and a rare blown save by Marmol we are undefeated.
  14. lol boo your best hitter so far this year.
  15. How are Tyco's stats against lefties? I am assuming that's what's happening right now.
  16. Now do that 3 more times, rest of Cubs lineup. The Diamondbacks pen was the worst in baseball last year I believe....we have a chance...
  17. Not sure if this could be a big deal or not, but Turco was caught betting with a fan and exchanging money during last night's game. http://sports.espn.go.com/chicago/nhl/news/story?id=6300103
  18. Have the Cubs switched Wellington Castillo to pitcher yet? Maybe they should try that.
  19. I don't know where this whole thought process comes from that Dallas is guaranteed their last 6 points. This a team that has won 8 games since February 1. Yeah, their schedule (vs Colorado, @ Colroado, @ Minnesota) is easy, but it's not automatic. Not 6 more. I said the Hawks need 3 more points to have a shot because Dallas is almost definitely going to get 4 more points in their last 3 games. If they get 4 more points we need 3 to win outright, or 2 points to tie Dallas. And if we are tied, its gonna depend on how Chicago and Dallas get their remaining points. If Dallas gets 2 regulation wins, and Chicago gets 2 SOL, then Dallas gets the playoff spot. If they tie in regulation wins, it goes to points earned H2H, and the Blackhawks immediately lose that one. So realistically, the Hawks probably need to end up with more points than Dallas to make the playoffs. Tonight is a huge game because its the most winnable game left. If the Hawks want to make the playoffs, they should probably get a regulation victory tonight. Also, a win tonight all but eliminates Calgary from consideration. Hawks are 2 points up and a game in hand. If they win tonight, its impossible for Calgary to pass us in points, and we have the tiebreaker locked down between us whether or not the 2 points come in regulation or OT or SO.
  20. Who are the projected starters for Sunday? I'm going to be in attendance. Looks like Wells and Gallardo. That sucks....Gallardo pitched a 2 hit shutout yesterday.
  21. I like the Cubs ever so slightly more than I like the Bulls, but Rose > Castro now and forever.
  22. I agree. Before the homestand, I figured a 4-2 homestand against 2 projected bottom feeders would be acceptable, and we are in position to do just that.
  23. I don't remember that. He did throw that really nice 1 hit shutout though :)
  24. I love how you have to clarify that you are legitimately asking a question. :)
