  1. Ha the funny thing is, against righties this year (not including today) .267/.313/.333/.646
  2. A .650 OPS player from one side of the plate should not be forced into an every situation kind of player.
  3. Also, I've determined that blue is one of the least intimidating colors to dress an audience in for a playoff game. It looks really tacky.
  4. I don't have anything to dislike about either of these teams and I want them both to advance. And that's the problem. Because there is no team to dislike here, the series becomes somewhat boring to be. If that makes any sense at all.
  5. This was a rotoworld blurb apparently posted a couple hours ago:
  6. Per ESPN (via RealGM) the MVP will be announced on Tuesday which pretty much means either Rose or Kobe is winning it because they like to present it before a home game and the Bulls (and Lakers) are at home Wednesday.
  7. Cubs looking for their first 3 game win streak of the year and a series win over the DBacks. Casey Coleman stands in their way. At least it's not James Russell.
  8. Derrick Rose tests positive for PEDs. Edit: just kidding, looks like Thibs won COY. Awesome.
  9. Playing so well how? Defensively? No. Running the Hawks offense? No. That is what the Hawks need from their PG. And I'm not even mentioning the fact that Crawford is playing 30 minutes a night, so there's almost no way that the Hawks could be just as good with Crawford playing 35 minutes a night and Hinrich playing 0 vs. Crawford playing 30 and Hinrich playing 35.
  10. If they start Jamal at PG, they really don't lose much overall. Jamal is playing really well. What? 3.2 APG Jamal Crawford is going to run the offense and adequately defend Derrick Rose? Losing Kirk is huge for Atlanta because he does several things that no one else on the Hawks can do. Crawford works best for Atlanta because he is a great scoring option off the bench, not because he can step in and run the offense. He isn't going to adequately defend Rose, but isn't Atlanta the worst offensive team left? They need offense and Crawford brings. I just don't think they lose anything in the end. Crawford does not run the offense at all. He's a scorer. You need someone to bring the ball up the court and initiate the offense. According to 82games.com, in very limited spells, the Hawks were -45 when Crawford acted as a PG. Crawford can not do that. Crawford can still play 30+ minutes coming off the bench if need be. He is a mediocre to below average defender as well. He's perfect as a bench player, not at all as a PG. You are trying to fit a square peg in a round hole here.
  11. Preds and Canucks in 2OT. If Nashville wins, the Canucks will have scored just 6 goals in their last 5 games.

  13. What an odd comment for a Bears draft thread.
  14. I'm not a fan at all of the QB, but people were talking about drafting BPA after the 4th round, so the BPA was apparently a QB and people hate it.
  15. Oh yeah I forgot Hunter got cut.
  16. Yay we won. We really won. Kennedy threw a shutout with 10Ks against the Phillies in his last start so let's hope he's not that on tonight. Garza is still somehow looking for his first Cubs win. He is hoping Starlin can commit less than 3 errors tonight.
  17. LOL true
  18. So weird to see "Memphis vs. Oklahoma City" as a playoff matchup. 10 years ago, the thought of having the NBA in both those towns was ludicrous.
  19. I love this pick. He will be a solid contributor as soon as this year, and this was a position of need with Tommie gone.
  20. I know thats crazy. It feels like that series has happened like 5 times before but it hasn't.
  21. And Tice was the pissed off Vikings official quoted in that article that mentioned Newsome was the one who screwed up. Good job Jerry A. That's awesome. I hope that's really something they planned. I doubt it but maybe just maybe.
  22. He may have integrity (or had), but this is the 2nd year in a row the Bears were involved in an embarrassing draft gaffe. Remember last year and the James Starks pick was a bit unusual and gave the Bears bad press, albeit smaller scale. Both were honest mistakes but Angelo has to get everyone on the same page. Either way, its not really that big of a deal anyways.
  23. How is that ironic?
