  1. I agree it was a very entertaining game overall
  2. I'm starting to think either the Hawks or Anaheim is going to be the odd team out. Anaheim has LA twice and SJ, the Hawks have Detroit twice and St. Louis tomorrow. They are tied in points and games played, but Anaheim has the tiebreaker locked up over the Hawks. I know I'm being overly pessimistic, but at this point I don't think the Hawks get in unless somehow the Hawks simply play better than they have been. They are going to need probably 3 more points to have any shot. If they win tomorrow that will give us a good chance, only needing to take 1 or 2 from Detroit.
  3. Choking this....take over DRose.
  4. Nothing at all
  5. And the Hawks lose on the PP. The Blackhawks will likely be just 2 points up on the Stars after tonight, and the Stars will likely pull to within 1 regulation win of Chicago. The choke continues. Hawks have scored 1 goal in the last 133 minutes of hockey and lost another key player to injury tonight.
  6. [expletive] Hawks get a penalty called on them approximately 10 seconds after the play happened (the Hawks were controlling the puck the entire time)
  7. Hawks get a point. Doesn't help our tiebreaker with Dallas, but obviously a point and a chance for another is more important.
  8. 20 SOG for the Hawks in the 3rd, and of course 0 goals so far. 2:30 away from a much needed point.
  9. I'm so sick of watching the Hawks shoot and shoot and shoot and shoot and nothing goes in.
  10. Corey Crawford has had a fantastic game. It should be like 3-1 Montreal right now. Canucks have had a ton of good looks this period. Reminds me of the 3rd period of the game in Florida. And of course the Montreal goalie is standing on his head right now as well.
  11. Dammit Brouwer looks seriously hurt. We just can't catch a [expletive] break this year. If this is the cost of winning the Cup, that's fine. But still it sucks.
  12. At this point I would of course settle for the 2 points, but if they are to get 2 points, I would love for it to be in regulation because we need the regulation win for the tiebreaker with the Stars. Oh sweet, Troy Brouwer looks really hurt curling on the ice. I guess its been 3-4 games since the Hawks suffered a serious injury, so it was due.
  13. This is annoying. Everytime the Hawks game has a commercial, I flip to the Bulls and they too are on commercial.
  14. The drought is over at 100 minutes and 8 seconds!! Kaner
  15. Annnnnd the Hawks are losing 1-0 midway through the 2nd. I'm really worried we're not going to win another game at this point.
  16. Bulls magic number = 3. Right? 4 over Boston, 3 over Miami
  17. Hawks scoring drought reaches 90 minutes and 3 seconds after a scoreless 1st period.
  18. Took you 6 days to think up that response? :)
  19. They all do at the beginning. The Chicago media has a way of wearing down it's managers fairly quickly.
  20. Did anyone ever figure out when exactly it was that this happened last? 1908 Sure feels like it
  21. Just that his arm amputation surgery will be on Friday.
  22. So far I am liking what I see from the offense in general. They haven't done any one thing particularly great, but they have done a lot of things good, including working the count and overall having patience. If it keeps up, it would easily change my perception of this team from my preseason prediction of 75-80 wins to something around 83-88 wins.
  23. Only the Cubs and Diamondbacks intentionally walk the bases loaded, bring in another pitcher and he immediately walks a run in on 4 pitches.
  24. Cashner left with soreness in his shoulder per Levin Black of the Williston Herald when he wakes up from his nap in a couple of innings.
