  1. Hopefully the extra SO practice helps the Hawks.
  2. Agreed...leading to a stupid ass shootout. Great a penalty on the Ducks with 0.9 seconds left.
  3. This dude is standing on his fing head
  4. Alright a point despite being outplayed for a majority of the 3rd period, being outshot 11-6 and being short handed for 6 minutes.
  5. Hiller has made 3-4 spectacular saves in this period. Horrible luck for the Hawks.
  6. The last 2 periods have not been very impressive at all for the Hawks. I bit disapointed that we are a bad PK away from 1 point out of 4 in 2 home games.
  7. ANOTHER Penalty on the Hawks with 2:10 left. Hawks are going to have to earn this point. 7 penalties on the Hawks wow
  8. They are definitely outplaying us at the moment. Completely controlling the puck in our zone and everytime the Hawks take control they cant establish control of the puck for more than a couple of seconds.
  9. A lot of stupid penalties taken by the Hawks in this game. Seems like they just keep coming. 6 penalties taken tonight (including 5 for fighting) vs. 3 for Anaheim (also including 5 for fighting)
  10. Kaner is really getting the hang of being a playmaker. Nice goal!
  11. Yeah he was only a vegetarian for one season and went back to it because he said it effected his power that year.
  12. Maybe. Every other report suggests he won't but most of those are speculation based on little clues here or there and not direct knowledge. I mean its pretty rare that there were be 2 premier players at one position available to sign in one offseason where the 2 biggest payrolls in baseball won't be involved. Maybe he will see this as a once in a decade opportunity to improve the team with an elite player though FA
  13. I think Theo is going to be cautious of who he throws around big money to given how his tenure in Boston ended. He might decide to ignore the guidelines he just gave us today for a player like Pujols. And it wouldn't be a bad thing at all. I mean its Albert Pujols. But I'm not sure he will do that or that Pujols will even want to come here unless 2-3 other FAs are coming our way. And that I am pretty sure is not going to happen.
  14. What do the Hawks gotta do to get a PP
  15. It hasnt stopped in 3 years, it won't now.
  16. Kane makes a stupid pass and turns it over in our zone and 2 seconds later, a goal. Dammit
  17. For those that didn't see it, Kane was coming down the right side of the zone and being closely guarded by a Duck, so Kane did a spin-o-rama move to get free and in one motion passed across the crease to Hossa for a tap in. Looked much better than I described it.
  18. HOLY [expletive] WAS THAT COOL. That's gonna make some highlights on ESPN tonight
  19. We were doing such a good job of killing the penalty and then in the blink of an eye they strike. Sucks to look so good in the first and now trail.
  20. Thank God most people know what a tool Kaplan is otherwise his idiotic biases might actually gain some traction.
  21. I legitimately believe no one can convince me that it's a bad idea to sign the best bat in the game and a historically great player. THAT idea is asinine to me. To be an elite team we need elite players. I think anyone here would consider signing Pujols a good thing for the Cubs. But there's good things and better things. I understand your point of view and respect it but I believe that it would make more sense to try to pick up a younger talent than can produce over the life of the deal. You may believe he will put up 1.000 ops into his 40s and he may well do that, but every year he gets older its more of a gamble based on historical trends. Now I am not saying they are in the same class at all or that Pujols' deal will end this poorly but 5 years ago there were people who didn't care if Sorianos performance dropped significantly in the later part of his deal they just said gimme gimme gimme who cares about 2011. Well obviously we should have because his contract is not a major roadblock to building a winning team.
  22. Yeah I don't think that spending $300 million on free agents would be considered rebuilding.
  23. Boston is the city of Dunkin Donuts, there are something like 120 DD's in Boston city limits alone. DD is the best coffee. Seriously. They are all over New England. When I lived in New Hampshire, the town I lived in (population 5,000) had exactly 6 things other than houses. A gas station, a police station, a high school, tiny office building, and 2 Dunkin Donuts. When I moved back to Chicago, I couldn't believe that if I wanted Dunkin, I couldn't just drive down there street wherever I was and find a Dunkin.
  24. I dont know the receivers that have played for the Lions and Bears, but I think it's interesting that the Bears are the only NFC North team not to have ever employed Nate Burleson
