  1. What if the Cardinals make a push for Sandberg just to further piss us off?
  2. I think it would be badass to put one on one of the rooftops. Of course that would never happen unless the Cubs bought said rooftop.
  3. It's so weird to read the line "the Cubs prefer draft picks". Is Ramirez a type A or type B? Due to his bad 2010, I know it was going to be close.
  4. Good luck on what?
  5. pretty weak sunday of football overall. None of the games particularly interested me. Every single game featured a 0-2 win team except 3: 3-3 Cleveland vs. 5-1 San Francisco 3-3 Washington vs. 4-2 Buffalo 5-1 New England vs. 5-2 Pittsburgh So 2 of the three 3 win teams are an undeserved 3-3, leaving only NE vs. Pit as a good game.
  6. I use subsilver2 and I'm pretty sure there's no link to the main page on there. I might be wrong though
  7. There was more to that quote that is quite a good point. If Bud Selig gives the Red Sox Garza, which he wont, can you imagine the next time a highly regarded executive discusses a contract extension? "Theo was worth a $10 million pitcher, I should be making $8 million based on that."
  8. http://espn.go.com/college-football/story/_/id/7170495/clemson-kansas-st-drop-ap-poll-losses Except for 2 weeks ago.
  9. The funny thing is, he wasted 20 minutes 2 hours (factoring in St. Louis education) of his meaningless life writing that long ass drivel when all he said was essentially "the Cardinals are better than the Cubs".
  10. HAHAHAHA Its amazing how bias can affect one's thinking. Damn you Cubs for taking so long, I'm pulling your best pitcher and giving him to the Red Sox because they got robbed when you promoted their GM that didn't want to be there anymore.
  11. Are they using the "the commissioner is our buddy, he'll totally see our side" logic?
  12. msu won by 2 TDs and outgained um by almost 100 yards, but had more turnovers and were penalized almost 100 yards more. it's hard to see what would have happened in that game to reverse the outcome. Did you actually watch the game? Obviously MSU outplayed them. I was referring to the fact that Michigan was 9 yards away from tying the game with 6 minutes left. And even after that, they had the ball back down 7 with just under 5 minutes left and 65 yards away when Denard threw a pick 6 to give MSU the 14 point margin. As I said, if a couple things go different (Hoke opting to run on 4th and 1 instead of pass) Michigan could have won despite being outplayed.
  13. So with West Virginia leaving, it leaves Rutgers of all teams as the ONLY football school that was in the conference in 2003. 2003 Big East football members: Boston College - Gone to ACC Pittsburgh - Gone to ACC West Virginia - Gone to SEC Syracuse - Gone to ACC UConn - Was in 1-AA in 2003 Temple - Gone to MAC Rutgers - Still in Big East
  14. No offense to Penn State, but this year's Penn State team vs. anyone probably wasn't their ideal 1st Big Ten Championship game.
  15. So if Stanford loses, only 3 unbeaten teams will be left, LSU/ALA, OK St and Boise St. OK State still has KState, TTU and Oklahoma left. I'm gonna get my hopes up that Boise State can get in the title game but I'm sure some one loss team like Alabama/LSU, Oregon or Oklahoma will jump them eventually.
  16. Looks like BCS #5 lost and #6 is in trouble and BCS 1 or 2 will go down next week. It's too bad no one in the Big Ten is going to go undefeated. Hell Michigan could have been that team if a couple things go different in the MSU game.
  17. So.... Wisconsin kills Nebraska Nebraska kills Michigan State Michigan State beats Ohio State Ohio State beats Wisconsin Got it.
  18. Wow, Wisconsin looked so unbeatable 2 weeks ago. Ohio State looked beyond awful a month ago.
  19. So looking at this logically, there is like no way that UM can win their Division (i forget which one UM is in). Right now UM/MSU/Neb are tied with 1 loss, UM's is to MSU, MSU's is to Nebraska, and Nebraska's is to Wisconsin. Michigan state has 4 pretty easy games to finish the year. MIN, @ IOWA, IND, @ NW. Can't see them losing. If Michigan wins out, they will be tied with MSU and of course lose the tiebreaker. Since Nebraska still has to play UM, there cant be a 3 way tie with 1 loss. Dammit. Hope people like Michigan State vs. Penn State in the first Big Ten title game
  20. and you guys were saying the lack of new members on NSBB was a bad thing.
  21. The way the Big Ten season is going I wouldn't be shocked to see Michigan go to Iowa next week and lose.
  22. Sounds like you're over it... You are quite perceptive. Wasn't sure if the cardinals fans would be able to catch that no matter how obvious I made it.
  23. Come on you don't expect a Cardinals fan to remember what happened last week much less 15 years ago. BTW the number of Cardinals fans that have come to respond to this thread shows how much they took the things said in this thread to heart. lol that anyone who just won a championship last night would let themselves get so butthurt from jealous rival fans. I guess our comments about the average lifestyle of a cardinals fan hit closer to home than even we thought. Bravo for letting us feel superior to you as people and sports fans despite the huge gap in success between our two franchises.
  24. That's what I was thinking when I saw the trolls. I for one assume the night my team wins a championship, I'd be trolling rival message boards. Absolutely if the Cubs won the World Series then the first thing I'd do is register for a bunch of Cardinals message boards to troll them. Oh wait, no I wouldn't. I'm thinking that would rank about dead last on my list of things I would want to do at that point. I would be far, far to drunk to use a computer at that point. Not only that but if the Cubs were in a Game 7 of the World Series I wouldn't be anywhere near a computer. I'd want to stay focused on the game itself. I would be trying to read the game thread on my phone, but I would probably be in a very populated area where I cant get service from AT&T so my attempts will be futile. I would definitely take 2-3 hours in the days after to read ech and every single comment from that thread.
