  1. Is cj Wilson available to pitch by chance?
  2. It will be a worthy memory if the Cardinals end up losing. If not, I will try to find a Men in Black memory erasing device
  3. Every single Rangers reliever has had that look tonight.
  4. un [expletive] real. This is more painful for Rangers fans than the Bartman game was for us at this point. Probably worse than Buckner too.
  5. Do Buck and McCarver understand that the winning run is on first?
  6. Bob Brenly once called for an IBB of Bonds to force in a run and it worked, but that wasn't a playoff game Yeah and he had a 4-5 run lead.
  7. If this was the Cubs instead of the Rangers, I'd have fainted already and missed the ending.
  8. Andrus almost threw it away. I'd have cried. Pujols on deck...any doubts that Feldman is about to be Lidged?
  9. Here come the screw job calls by the ump
  10. So much for the [expletive] lefty lefty matchups. And now the pitcher actually has a chance to help.
  11. Would this be the first World Series where the last out was made by a pitcher? lol
  12. I am first and foremost a fan of baseball. What does that have to do with anything? It was a really good series, and the team we hate (hopefully) loses. You don't need a game 7 for it to be good for baseball.
  13. THANKS FOR TRADING AWAY JOSH HAMILTON JIM HENDRY
  14. Chucky = Bartman FNDomination = Alex Gonzalez
  15. They are winning game 7 if they win this.
  16. HAHA GET A GOOD VIEW OF THAT PITCH?
  17. Feel like every Ranger reliever tonight has been unable to get 3 easy outs.
  18. Great pickup that Furcal. You just killed the hopes of an entire city on one pitch and one swing.

    Dempster

There is no way Demp doesn't come back unless the Cubs flat out say "don't come back". He just had a quote in the paper about how he wanted to finish his career here if they wanted him to. He loves playing for the Cubs and loves living in Wrigleyville. As Conky said, Dempster was rather unlucky last year. He had a bad year last year but if you take away his April, the last 160 innings of the year he had a 3.94 ERA and 3.59 if you take away his last start where he gave up 9 ER. Add the fact that he will give you 200 innings (has for the last 4 years) and he's not a bad guy to have around. You could do a lot worse with 14 million than Dempster.
  20. Not doubting the story or your conclusion, but why would Dikembe Mutombo be meeting the commissioner and how does that relate to the lockout.
  21. A big part of passer rating is YPA. Yards per attempt obviously goes up if you complete 10-19 yard passes. I think YPA has more of an effect on QB rating than completion % actually. true, completion% alone would have made more sense to illustrate the point, that he's against type in that respect Brady (0-9 yds): 73.2% (10-19 yds): 62.3% Brees (0-9 yds): 75.5% (10-19 yds): 59.0% Rodgers (0-9 yds): 80.2% (10-19 yds): 64.4% Cutler (0-9 yds): 60.5% (10-19 yds): 66.0% What I get from this. Cutler sucks at short throws. Aaron Rodgers is amazing at all throws. I would guess that a lot of Cutler's 0-9 yard throws are made under durress just trying to dump to RB/FB/TE. I could be wrong though.
  22. I've been to a few but definitely never coordinated a trip to knock out a bunch of them..it's mostly been situations where I've been heading to that city for another reason and they happen to be in town. Wrigley Field US Cellular Field (Comiskey Park as well) Miller Park (Milwaukee County Stadium as well) Great American Ballpark Fenway Park (Old Yankee Stadium) (Metrodome) Chase Field (Qualcomm Stadium) Camden Yards (Memorial Stadium) These don't count at all but I've driven by the following (and by driven by I don't mean on the highway, I mean drove up to the field on a surface street specifically to see the stadium): Jacobs Field Turner Field (Shea Stadium) New Yankee Stadium Tropicana Field Target Field New Busch Stadium
  23. This is maybe the 3rd or 4th article I've read from Chicago media about how hiring Theo and co. ruins the aura that is Chicago Cubs baseball. Are you [expletive] kidding me? I used to think that people were exaggerating when they painted the Cubs and Cubs fans as people who like to get drunk and watch baseball in the sun, and if the Cubs win, that's a bonus. I used to think that everyone who was a legitimate Cubs fan would sacrifice everything for a World Series title. I can't believe that this is a legitimate viewpoint coming from Chicago.
  24. Just because of tradition? Or hate shootouts that much? Going back to the tie wouldn't be a horrible option but obviously its less appealing to the casual fan the NHL wants so hard to entice.
