  1. Hawks have now lost 6 straight in Carolina, all in regulation. Their last win down there was in 1998, their first year after moving from Hartford. Carolina for the Hawks = New Jersey for the Bulls
  2. He's right about one thing: he won't be back. :banned: Theo Epstein will smite this redneck hillbilly and he will turn into a top prospect for the Cubs.
  3. As far as I'm concerned, Not The Cubs won the World Series for the 102nd consecutive time. I don't care which flavor of NTC it was. Isn't it 103rd consecutive time?
  4. Wow LaRussa jsut admitted what we already knew...Carlos Marmol saved their season. FML
  5. You forgot one..........................[expletive] Bud Selig. No Wild Card team should EVER hold home field advantage over a division winner because of the All-Star Game. Screw you, Bud Selig. No team should be able to make up their own rainouts either just because it's convenient for them. LaRussa had to get Carp another start in the World Series so that's what he did.
  6. Cubs offseason plan: Sign Albert Pujols Sign Todd Helton so he can play OF and have a .950 OPS Bring up Brian LaHair and Lou Montanez to be our Jay and Craig Make Scott Moore our 3B so he can get hits in every single key situation in the playoffs World Series
  7. [expletive] Carlos Marmol [expletive] the Choking ass Braves [expletive] the Punchless Phillies who let the Cardinals into the playoffs and then choked [expletive] the Packer-loving Brewers [expletive] the chokingest bunch of chokers that ever lived, the Texas Rangers Oh yeah and [expletive] the [expletive] piece of [expletive] Cardinals and their redneck inferior fans.
  8. Everyone agrees [expletive] the choking ass Rangers, right? Down to their last strike in two separate innings.
  9. And Mike Fontenot!
  10. Good news for me. I get to wait 4 whole months before another one of the two teams I hate more than anything wins a title. 2 teams I despise winning 3 titles in roughly 365 days. Cant wait for the Wings to hoist another cup. Hell maybe the BCS computers randomly spit out Ohio State as the BCS champion in January. That would be fun.
  11. Don't worry, he'll revert back to 2006-2011 Dotel once Jim Hendy sig-- WAIT WE DONT HAVE A JIM HENDRY ANYMORE.
  12. It's so easy to win a World Series. All you need is 2 good hitters and a good pitcher. The rest will take care of itself. Go ahead and sign an aging slow slugger who was a bench player in last year's playoffs. I'm sure he will be good for a .950 OPS even though he hasn't hit that well in 3 years. Oh and stick him in the OF where he hasn't played in 4 years. And for the rest of the team, make sure to stock up on 26 year old "prospects" and just throw em out there and watch them explode into offensive weapons. You could probably make your 3B a 28 year old non-prospect who quit baseball during his college years and that should do. Bullpen? Don't worry about the bullpen, it will sort itself out. Just sign a bunch of retreads, has beens and nobodies. Even if they suck in the regular season, don't worry! They will suddenly become unhittable as soon as the playoffs start and be the backbone to your championship run. Don't worry about things like managers, strategy, fundamental baseball ,etc. Your team will overcome it no matter how amazingly incompetent they seem. Down to your last strike prior to being eliminated? Dude just hit a game tying 2 run triple. It's so easy, how do other teams not following this formula every season?
  13. Chris Carpenter has officially settled in and has at least 3 more shutdown innings in him.
  14. Maybe a sloppy effort but Cam Ward is stonewalling us and its really frustrating.
  15. Cam Ward lifetime against the Hawks: 4 goals allowed in 136 SOG (.971 save %) in 4 games.
  16. What a horrible call...the refs give Staal a penalty shot when there was absolutely NO CONTACT.
  17. Colby Lewis hasnt been too shabby Edit: But I realize he's not available. Apparently CJ Wilson is Ron's first choice tonight. Being the only other starter that didn't pith last night, that's understandable. With the way the Cardinals are hitting it won't matter
  18. to be fair, he was a widely acclaimed prospect. basically bryce harper or mike trout before anybody heard of those guys. Yup, just like John Jay and Allen Craig. BA loses credibility for rating the Cardinals system so low despite hordes of highly touted prospects
  19. Colby Lewis hasnt been too shabby Edit: But I realize he's not available.
  20. Cardinals have scored in 5 consecutive innings and 7 out of the last 9
  21. Does this guy ever [expletive] get out. When is the last time the Rangers got out of an inning without giving up a run?
  22. Need to get as many runs as possible before Carp gets settled in. Gotta love all the pitches so far though
  23. I bet the Cardinals get 3 in the bottom of the first. Sorry for the negativity :(
  24. Cam Ward owns us dammit.
  25. Sorry to hear that buddy. Have sex with many many girls for me and all the other taken guys.
