  1. Yeah this one is going to sting. We blew 3rd period leads with under 10 mins left in both losses to these bozos.
  2. Anaheim plays twice before we play again. We could be in 2nd place in the conference the next time we take the ice.
  3. [expletive] terrible defensive lapses. Now were 4 mins from being 3 points ahead of Anaheim and them with a game in hand. Pathetic collapse there.
  4. thanks for ruining my night by notifying me of that. The tournament can have your weekend. You have redeemed yourself.
  5. thanks for ruining my night by notifying me of that.
  6. I dunno that Calgary game was pretty bad
  7. Wow so it's over. Good bye Urlacher. Lots of good memories. 80% of Bears fans are going to have to buy a new jersey at least until he retires and its fashionable to wear Urlacher again
  8. Heard a Trestman interview on the Score today. Doesn't seem to be particularly excited about Urlacher returning. Said he could still be a useful player for the bears "on first and second down". Also said Hester is a full time return man and will be practicing very little with the WRs this year
  9. Right...DePaul (back when they werent an embarassment to major college basketball) played an NIT game on campus when Allstate Arena couldn't host the game. Are you sure? I remember Creighton playing an NIT game in 2008, two nights before they hosted first and second round NCAA games. I think I read somewhere that it was a staffing issue that forced the game to be played on the road. They couldn't get enough staff to work the game, convert the arena, and then host 4 days worth of games with only 1 days notice.

  11. The Blue Line is slow because it has a crap load of "slow zones" that are still in place even after track improvements.
  12. The game was in San Francisco and Hanley was booed because he's on the Dodgers. Pie in my face
  13. I'm shocked the Marlins have a vocal group of fans that actually care enough to attend an international tournament and boo a former star.
  14. Yay another win. Anaheim is looking like they are going to win tonight as well. Can't wait for the showdown on Wednesday.
  15. This feels vaguely familiar...
  16. I'm actually stunned when Kane doesn't score on a breakaway
  17. As someone who once tried to take public transit to a DePaul game, I agree public transportation to the game would be terrible. It would be a lot easier for driving to the game though.
  18. Rosie-poo working on his lefty floater.
  19. Rose, Rip, Kirk, Taj all out yet again.
  20. Gregg Doyle has Ohio State beating Michigan in the National Championship game. In his predictions Michigan beats Indiana to get to the game, and Illinois bows out in the E8 vs. IU
  21. http://img.gawkerassets.com/img/18hwciipo9c8rjpg/k-bigpic.jpg Seriously could we have found a nerdier looking coach if we tried?
  22. My team sucked last year but I did end up with a number of great keeper options. I'm in a 10 team league, fairly deep rosters. We keep 3 players, at least 1 has to be a pitcher 1 has to be a hitter. When you keep a player you lose your draft pick in the round they were picked in last year...if they were undrafted last year you lose an 8th rounder. Who would you choose as the 3 keepers? McCutchen (4th round) Trout (undrafted, would lose 8th rounder) Cespedes (19th round) Justin Upton (1st round) Adrian Gonzalez (2nd round) Strasburg (6th round) Darvish (10th round) The obvious answer is McCutchen, Trout, Strasburg and lose a 4th, 6th, 8th, but I'm tempted to kep Cespedes instead of McCutchen. Is that crazy?
  23. Not that anyone is taking this seriously, but Rosemont would be an interesting spot for a new stadium to say the least. The entire village borders O'Hare Airport, so there would be planes taking off directly over/near the field constantly. The village is tiny and pretty much consists of their entertainment district with the Casino, Convention Center, convention/airport hotels, Allstate Arena and retail. I think the entire population of Rosemont is like 4,000. I'm assuming this "prime piece of real estate" would be right in the heart of this. The town borders Chicago to the east (and west since O'Hare is technically part of the city), and is about 10 miles west/northwest of Wrigley Field/Lakeview. Anyways, not gonna happen but I'm glad there is at least one ambitious mayor throwing this out there just to raise the stakes ever so slightly. Edit: Also, I'm not sure if Rosemont would be willing to put any money into this field...probably but I don't think he said anything of the sort. If they were to build a brand new stadium and everything else, there's gotta be a lot more involved than the $300m the Ricketts are putting up.
