  1. Why even make that throw to third?
  2. ouch thats a painful loss
  3. Probably is but the Hawks are still on pace for 112 points this season which would tie the highest point total for a "Cup Hangover" team since the 05 lockout (I get the goal differential thing and the easy schedule thing). Here is what I pulled together for the post lockout cup winners. Carolina - 112 pts vs 88 points (DNQ) Anaheim - 110 pts vs. 102 points (L 1st) Detroit - 115 pts vs. 112 pts (L SCF) Pittsburgh - 99 pts vs. 101 pts (L 2nd) Chicago - 112 pts vs. 97 pts (L 1st) Boston - 103 pts vs. 102 pts (L 1st) Los Angeles - 95 pts vs. 101 pts (proj) (L 3rd) Chicago - 132 pts vs 112 pts (both proj)
  4. Northwestern blows
  5. It's gonna have to spread 3 blocks :( Can't even commit arson correctly
  6. And only 4 non-shootout victories. Call me crazy but I find it difficult to get annoyed at the Blackhawks just yet. I think it would be stupid for any team to complain about a 6-1-3 stretch, much less one that won the Cup last year with a dominating end to end season.
  7. Just looking over the DVOA rankings. Somehow the Bears are still 8th in the rankings overall, 7th offensively, 17th defensively and 9th special teams. Breaking down the rankings: Offense: Last week - 9th This week - 7th Pass offense - 9th Rush offense - 7th Defense: Last week - 13th This week - 17th Pass defense - 21st Rush defense - 11th (weird, I thought it'd be reverse) ST: Last week - 19th This week - 9th
  8. Yeah. He's going to UK though. I know Michigan is sort of also in the running and IU was given a late official visit but pretty much everyone believes he's going to UK.
  9. And only 4 non-shootout victories.
  10. It's hard getting used to lowering your expectations to "Hawks might not win every night"
  11. Care to give me a google map link of the location? I'm not too familiar with the area. Sure thing: Link It really is too bad it will never happen, because it's absolutely perfect. Walking distance from 3 El lines, a few blocks from LSD and 90/94, a long walk or short shuttle/bus from Union Station/Ogilvie, plenty of space for all the other revenue generating crap they want, and they could orient the view from the stadium with the skyline/Sears Tower. holy hell this is the most genius thing ever tt It really is [expletive] perfect. Hell, I wanted them to move to Cabrini when they kicked everyone out of there, too. Its even somewhat situated in a neighborhood, albeit a much less established one than Wrigleyville (which is probably a good thing because there will be less NIMBYs)
  12. I for one am shocked that this is now the front page story on ESPN.com
  13. Man this is a terrible article IMO: http://nfl.si.com/2013/10/23/nfl-trade-rumors-jared-allen-justin-blackmon/?sct=hp_t1t_a2&eref=sihp The first trade they suggest is Washington trading Fred Davis to the Bears for a conditional 6th rounder. This makes no sense at all to waste a late round pick for another TE when there are 100 other holes (mostly injury related) preventing this team from being a contender. The other one that stood out to me was Jags trading Justin Blackmon to the Ravens for a 3rd round pick. Blackmon was the 5th pick in the draft just a year ago and has actually appeared to actually live up to his high pick. Why would they take one of their only valuable resources and trade him for a 3rd?
  14. That would be badass. I'm sick of that area being a vacant wasteland so close to the Loop.
  15. I hate them, but even a lot of people outside of the Midwest are getting really tired of seeing the Cardinals in late October. Part of me loves that the Cardinals are getting hated nationally for the same [expletive] that has annoyed the [expletive] out of me for over a decade, but part of me also hates that the Cardinals are essentially being validated as a successful organization by being hated by people outside of the midwest.
  16. Lmao the Rams reached out to Brett Favre to see if he'd come out of retirement to play for the Rams. Favre turned them down.
  17. Just [expletive] move the team.
  18. i want to unban deucebaseman just to see if there are any followup to his research on sliding into first base
  19. Derwood finally makes it out of the first round!
  20. http://www.gallup.com/poll/165539/first-time-americans-favor-legalizing-marijuana.aspx For the first time, over 50% of Americans favor legalizing marijuana. 58% overall do, which is 10% up from last year. When the first poll was conducted in 1969, only 12% favored legalization. Amazing how far this country as come.
  21. The going super slow thing looks so cool when it works and so bad when it doesnt. Hawks win but srsly guys doesnt have to be this hard.
  22. I just had a feeling when we were up 2-0 that we were going to blow it. Probably because we have in almost every game we've led this year. No wonder our goal differential is only +4 despite only 1 regulation loss. This has gotta stop.
  23. I think Yanr would win all you guys over.
  24. I'd love to hear some stories from the oil rig
