  1. Sherman is just making sure everyone talks about him for the next 2 weeks. Smart dude
  2. Jesus Sherman, you are a [expletive] psycho
  3. OK, if you really love the Bears Illinois you will legalize it.
  4. 9 of the next 10 games are on the road. Only one home game between now and March 1st, of course with the Olympic break in between.
  5. As I said before this stretch I was really looking forward to seeing if the Hawks could elevate their game for games against the hottest team in the league, last years cup opponent and our arch rival. So far so good.
  6. Can we win a damn shoot out or will we fall to 4-12 in OT/SO this year?
  7. That should be a 5 minute boarding call, no?
  8. Good start, a couple of solid odd man chances, with Hoss converting one
  9. That's Michigan 's first road win against an AP top-5 team since Dec. 5, 1964 at Duke. A 36-game losing streak that lasted nearly 50 years
  10. Jesus come on Crawford don't blow this.
  11. I like that the alternate is grey and not blue
  12. Good article for the anti-loser point guys like myself http://grantland.com/features/at-a-loss/
  13. http://www.cbssports.com/mlb/writer/jon-heyman/24411918/tanaka-derby-cubs-chisox-seen-by-others-as-threat-to-beat-yanks-la
  14. PFF says that the Bears BY FAR had the least amount of production from their rookies in the league this year. It sounds like the main reason for that is that they had lower round and undrafted players playing big roles for the team due to injuries. Bucaneers (-46.2) were 2nd worst, and Patriots (-38.7) were 3rd. Best 3 were Arizona (+34.3), Detroit (+30.0) and Carolina (+21.2) http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10306488/teams-most-least-production-2013-draft-picks-nfl
  15. I've watched a lot of Hawks this year but I can't say I've been particularly pumped up for any game since the opener. This 3 game stretch (vs. Anaheim, vs. Boston, @ Detroit) has me really pumped up. One is against the hottest and best team in the league (by record), one is a SCF rematch, one is our historical rival who we only see twice a year now. I think we will see an elevation in play and intensity. I am hoping for at least 2 W's!
  16. Deny what rumors? Everyone knows the Cubs really really want him. There's nothing to deny there.
  17. That is mind boggling
  18. I heard that. It's pretty much word for word.
  19. I'm sure Tanaka was prepped on the Cubs meeting by being told Theo/Jed are 2 of the smartest baseball minds out there. I'm sure Theo/Jed did a great job of explaining in detail why they've made the decisions they have, why that's translated into a poor record the last 2+ seasons, where they are now, and why they are likely to be a contender sooner than later. I guess it all depends on whether Tanaka believes in the Cubs FO and what they are doing, or going with a team that's more of a sure thing to win immediately. (assuming the top offers are similar)
  20. Arriving tonight. Speaking purely as a fan, I'm not expecting some earth-shattering announcement at the Convention. I still enjoy the panel discussions, though - at least when folks ask meaningful questions. Nice. Looking forward to the blogging/Tweeting from the convention. Seriously... thanks for what you do. Your site has become one of that rotation of 5 or 6 that I re-open like 20x a day. Agreed. Best Cubs blog on the internet by far.
  21. Were you not around enough during the Brian Roberts/Jake Peavy sagas?
  22. I don't read into fluff but am hopeful at least. If Olt can get back on track to where he was in 2011-2012, things are suddenly looking really good.
