  1. Rodgers took all 1st team snaps in practice...
  2. Jim Bowden doesn't have the Cubs in his 5 most likely destinations. Not that it means anything.
  3. McCown seems unsure if he will play next year or retire and if he does play he'd be looking for a 1 year deal. http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap2000000304045
  4. So the weather looks interesting for Sunday. High of 28 low of -3. Mondays high is 3. So I guess how uncomfortable this game will be depends on what time the cold front comes in. We could see temps in the 20s or we could see barely above 0 temps.
  5. Rodgers said his status for Sunday will be revealed on Thursday. I have a pretty good feeling he's not playing.
  6. Out of curiosity, is it even worth a discussion of whether Kane has equaled or surpassed Toews in terms of overall ability? Toews will always be the better two way player and I don't expect his point total to exceed Kane but Kaner has taken his game to a whole new level this year, it's pretty nuts because he was already damn good before.
  7. Awesome video. PS, the Ducks have topped the Hawks in the West
  8. So... That is bad...I knew the run D was bad, I didn't think it was 'top 6 in NFL history' bad
  9. So Nick Foles was 21-25 passing yesterday. His 4 incompletions? 3 throwaways and a dropped catch. Pretty much perfect.
  10. Fair point. It's just that we showed no signs of being able to stop anything the Saints did in Week 5, and I have no reason to believe it would be different this time with an even less-healthy defense. Take your chances with a different team and hope Kaepernick gives us a few. Truth is we'll lose to either team most likely. Any chance Arizona still gets in? The same 49ers team that systematically destroyed our defense last year when it was still good. Although this time it would be January in Chicago but I have no reason to believe we wouldn't get destroyed. We at least held NO to 26 points and that was back when they were playing a lot better.
  11. So last year the Bears defense finished 1st in the league in DVOA by a large margin (not sure the run/pass splits). This year they are much lower especially against the run. Just curious what people think the biggest reason is, considering there are several areas you could point to. -injuries to Briggs, Tillman, Melton, DJ Williams, Paea -losing urlacher and izzy (am I missing some losses?) -new defensive coaching staff -age leading to decline -poor drafting Obviously it's a combo of all and more but which one was the biggest reason the defense is embarrassingly bad? How do we get this fixed?
  12. I'm stunned and down about the game last night, but I don't think the Bears were exposed anymore than they were prior to the game. I trust Trestman to make adjustments offensively. I think the Bears win this one something like 27-17 and probably get destroyed by SF next week.
  13. probably not in game shape mentally or physically. He looked slow to react and took some poor angles. For this week at least he looked lik ehe didn't belong on the field.
  14. You know outside of the 1st and 4th quarters we were pretty competitive tonight.
  15. This is going to hurt our point differential I think.
  16. This is a good example of meatballing the other way Seriously. I'm trying to think of a player who clearly played better tonight but everyone [expletive] sucked. If Cutler was the best player he is king of the idiots.
  17. Just wait until McCown puts up some garbage yards and maybe a TD. Thank Jeebus that Xmas will temper the stupidity. I think it will be the opposite. Meatballs will be gathering in person and talk will inevitably turn to the Bears and Cutler will be brought up and even people who aren't anti-cutler will be sucked into the meatball vortex
  18. Is this the start of some idiotic meatball rant against Cutler? No, it was a rant against the meatballs who have taken it way too far the other way and can't admit when he sucks I'll call Jay out when he sucks. He wasn't very good tonight. Wasn't at all the biggest problem (defense, oline, special teams) but he wasn't good.
  19. Great. Because of that the consensus is going to be that it's cutlers fault the eagles won by 36+ points.
  20. That's on Trestman. Same with Podlesh. He's gotta do something about it. Trestman? Maybe the ST coach or the GM not giving him better options. I guess you could put some of the blame on him but I think there's better options. I think this is right but DVOA had the bears special teams in the top 8 every year for a decade under Taub. This year they are something like 16th
  21. Gotta remind myself this is year one of trestman and year two of emery. They have implemented a lot of what they want but there are still holdovers from the previous regime they need to shed before they get to where they envision.
  22. How shitty would it be to miss the playoffs 3 years in a row when: Year one you start 7-3 Year two you start 7-1 Year 3 you have to win either of your last two games and lose them both. Hope we don't find out how shitty that is
