  1. Bears will wait until next Monday to introduce Allen
  2. Yup, now the pressure comes from being able to replace players over the next couple of seasons through the draft. I don't think Emery really wanted to build his defense (or any part of his team) through FA, but the circumstances dictated it. Amazingly we havent lost any draft picks in rebuilding both sides of the ball other than Marshall.
  3. Houston can move inside too, right? Yup the Raiders played him inside often. Good point I wouldnt be surprised if he was the 3 technique when the Bears are playing traditional 4-3
  4. DE - Jared Allen, Lamarr Houston, Willie Young DT - Jeremiah Ratliff, Stephen Paea, Nate Collins, Israel Idonije LB - Lance Briggs, DJ Williams, Jonathan Bostic, Shea McClellen, Khaseem Greene CB - Charles Tillman, Tim Jennings, Kelvin Hayden, Isaiah Frey S - Ryan Mundy, MD Jennings, Chris Conte, Craig Steltz Still need big help at safety but that's some overhaul without even getting to the draft.
  5. holy [expletive] [expletive] Well they certainly improved the line this offseason
  6. Yup. Just read that. He had been battling some stuff for awhile. Very sad.
  7. Etherington is going to transfer now too. I've heard rumors that there might be 1-2 more? Basketball in the state of Indiana is a mess right now. Butler even sucks now. So in terms of quasi relevant D1 teams in Indiana we have Indiana, Purdue, Notre Dame, Butler, Valparaiso (i said quasi), Ball State and Indiana State. Yuck.
  8. Matt Forte was the worst blocking RB in the NFL last year? http://sportsmockery.com/matt-forte-statistically-worst-blocking-running-back-nfl-25363/ Weird because in 2012 he was the 7th best.
  9. Geez. Louisville, Kentucky, Michigan and possibly Tennessee and all like 4.5 hours from Indy
  10. Michigan just broke their team record with 14 3s in a NCAA tourney game but I guess there are exceptions to every rule.
  11. Poor Cubs....they are going to have to pull Clark if this keeps up.
  12. I'll always remember those 4 seconds.
  13. They? The Illuminati? Duh No the teams in their bracket
  14. Could they keep making MSUs final four run easier? Cinci loses in first round, ISU loses one of their best players, UVA looks like [expletive] against a 16 seed. Ugh (says the guy whose team just lost Duke as a S16 opponent)
  15. Nope. Dayton is the only one that's really performed above expectations. Saint Louis should have lost and the other 4 did.
  16. Jim Calhoun is supposedly interested in the BC job. That's....interesting. The guy was a great coach but he's 71 years old
  17. So not to look ahead but if UM can beat Texas our S16 draw would be Tennessee/Mercer/UMass. Be careful what you wish for, but I didn't want to play Duke.
  18. seriously...
  19. Not a strong showing so far for Nebrasketball 4-21 from the field (19%) 3-7 from the line (42.8%) 0-10 from 3 (...0%)
  20. http://www.baseballprospectus.com/article.php?articleid=23044 Baez got 5 votes for ROY, Olt got 2
  21. Depressing about Soler. Would hate that we missed out on Cespedes and Puig and threw our eggs into Soler (and Conception) basket only for him to disappoint.
  22. Yes. And if Teuvo gives you a better chance at the Cup, you play him. My guess is that adding Teuvo this year is like adding Kane or Toews was back when they were rookies. He is that good. Also, if you're worried about keeping him 4 years down the line or whatever, that's dumb. Hossa will be gone by then along with a lot of other guys, including Sharp, Oduya, etc.. Sure, you'll have to pay Saad and re-up 19 and 88, but if you think you can win a title, go for it. This isn't like baseball where you can delay a guy coming up until May and you'll still have the guy for the end of the season/playoffs, this IS the end of the season. I just hope that Teuvo doesn't feel too much pressure now with Kane out and can just play his game. Agreed completely.
  23. And Kane was placed on long term IR
  24. Every year I get all into making my bracket and every year I find myself cheering heavily for a double digit seed to upset one of my final four teams in the first round.
