    Yes thank you. I'm sick of seeing it the old way and having to figure out myself who the Wild Card teams were. Makes sense, but then how do the seeds work? Does it re-seed after the first round? I'm pretty sure that they keep it within the division* for the second round. Chicago would play COL in the first round then STL, assuming STL won. *The wild card teams may or may not actually be divisional opponents, as they will just be thrown into a matchup with a division winner based on who has the most/least points. Exactly. It's sort of how the NHL used to do it back when they had division semis, division finals, conference finals, sc finals, except I don't think there were wild card teams before.

    Didn't see this until now. The Hawks are going from January 26 to March 4th without a game at the United Center (technically Jan 26 - March 1st without a home game as they are playing at Soldier Field on 3/1)

    I bet the NHL and the Hawks were hoping for better weather when they planned this outdoor game on March 1. The average temps on March 1st in Chicago are 41/26. The forecast? High of 18 low of 9. For comparison purposes, the weather for the 2009 Winter Classic at Wrigley was a high of 30, low of 18. But that one was played during the day so it was probably closer to 30. The one this week will be at night, so closer to 9.

    Weird...after today's UM win over MSU, there are only 2 more Big Ten games this season between teams that are currently ranked. Iowa @ MSU and MSU @ OSU

    Rough Olympics for Kane. Looked good early on but the breakaway miss against Russia, the shutout against Canada and the two missed penalty shots in the Bronze medal game are rough to take.

    The Pacers could put a starting lineup out there consisting just of their bench players that is probably capable of making a run at the 8 seed in the east CJ Watson Turner Chris Copeland Scola Mahimi/Bynum Dude that team would compete for a 3 seed in the East

    Sharp has been really active so far, I think he's earning more ice time for Canada. Kane almost had a breakaway but the saucer pass went over his stick and the Keith knocked him into the boards.

    Cubs new weight room. Hanging up banners from the 1800's is sure to be inspiring. I do like the photo of Wrigley Field there as motivation to the prospects and the sign that says "When It Happens"

    I think that will end up being a goal. Edit: Guess not What happened? Puck was sliding by the Latvian goalie and a Latvian defenseman gloved it before it crossed the line. It was like 75% over the line when it was knocked out. Damn close

    I dont think it would. Great story for Latvia I guess, but I would much rather see US/Canada than any other game at this point Me too. I was hoping it would be a USA-Canada semis and USA-Russia finals.

    Still crazy that Kane and Toews are scoreless in the tournament so far, especially in the case of Kane because USA has been scoring in bunches.
