yeah those were dark days. At the peak of BJax's prospect days, when he was our #1 prospect, where would he fit in our current top 10?

Those are all digital billboards, so other than a graphic designer i don't think it cost them anything.
  3. UMFan83
i heard that too. I thought they were kidding but they kept bringing it up, so I started to wonder.

Stasny's a good pick up. The Central is getting better and the Hawks are just struggling to keep status quo.

one day Tallon will have his 2010 blackhawks reunion

My company has an outing at the KC Cougars game today. Excited to see Blackburn and Schwarber, assuming he doesn't get promoted today.

This season (majors and minors) has been more fun than 2011-2013 combined. Whoever said this Iowa team has one of the most entertaining lineups in minor league history is probably right.

For some reason I feel like winning this game would be bigger for US Soccer than beating Mexico in 2002.

Good to know we'd get a bye in the next round. I'm completely in favor of that. Good we can have a week or so to figure out how to get it to snow in Brazil for USA-Costa Rica (I'm assuming CR has a bye too, because: CONCACAF)

Gotta stop refreshing twitter and remind myself that no news is going to happen at 9:30 in the morning.

I'm glad he's staying but what an idiot.
  12. UMFan83
Do you start him or bring him in as a sub to play 20 mins?

http://www.suntimes.com/28384051-761/hey-theo-epstein-cubs-fans-are-still-waiting.html   He makes a great point. Why hasn't Shark led us to the postseason more?

There were very few things I've enjoyed more in sports during my lifetime then watching Rose come into his own and become a superstar. Loved his personality, loved his game, loved how he came up big in clutch moments. I would have killed for him and given him access to my wife. It's not that I'm not a DRose fan now, or that I don't like him. It's just....not the same. I don't know if my perception is altered by the injuries and not continually being rewarded for cheering for him, but his personality changed and he has become a lot less likable, a lot more fallible. It sucks because I really loved to love Rose.

Duh, its not his job at all. His job is to rehab from various injuries.
  16. UMFan83
hah, Rose now saying that he's not sure if he's even going to try out for Team USA as he's not sure if he's ready to be "competitive" yet, despite all the reports that he's been doing 5-on-5 for multiple months and the surgery that was said to have 4-6 month recovery period taking place 8 months ago.

Big offseason news: Andres Nocioni signs with Real Madrid. Mirotic replacement?
  18. UMFan83
    Couple of CONCACAF heartbreakers today
  19. UMFan83
Probably not going to happen but how crazy would a USA-Mexico semis be? Edit: maybe not

Never going to happen because Nigeria and Algeria are involved but we could knock Europe out of the tournament in this round

Shark with a 5.31 ERA over his last 7 starts

What was the score of the Germany-Portugal game when Pepe got the red card? 1-0 or 2-0? Just random thought that USA and Portugal drew each other, both beat Ghana 2-1 on a late goal after blowing a lead. The Germany game was the difference...Portugal played a man down for over half the game and got blown out. USA played them tight and lost 1-0. That idiotic head butt pretty much ruined the WC for Portugal. I guess you can also say the order the games were played in made a big difference as well since Germany was all but through when we played them.

    I love extra soccer!
