  1. My wife doesn't think Sharp is hot and that disturbs me on a deep personal level.
  2. Playing in GB, i'd be more worried about meth if I were him
  3. As a Hawks fan I'm not worried about not scoring on hot goalies. Unless their name is Mike Smith.
  4. I still think its more likely than not he says. What bothers me is that there is a non-zero chance he could leave and unless we got blown over with a return, I don't understand why it had to come to this.
  5. Don't know if it was on purpose or not, but nice timing posting this right as our one blue player was being extended. Forte has to be one of the most underrated players in the league if he is considered only a "good starter". They only have the charts out for 6 teams, but on the Bills they consider Spiller "high quality" and Fred Jackson a "good starter". In what world are Fred Jackson and Matt Forte on the same tier?? As they pointed out in the article, the tipping point from high quality to good starter for Forte was his league worse pass protection rating.
  6. If it wasn't already clear, its pretty obvious from the Bulls/Thibs silence and all the new rumors that keep coming up that Thibs is very much available. This would really suck.
  7. Just make a sign with a picture of Shark and under it, it says "0-4 1.62 ERA. This could have been you!"
  8. Plus the other shitty thing is that the kings have come off 2 straight grueling 7 game series with only one day off between each. This schedule allows the ample time to rest and alleviates any potential fatigue factor in the series.
  9. Dammit to hell. I've been in Europe all this week and because of godawful start times I haven't been able to watch the last 3 games and won't be able to watch game 1. I finally get back to Chicago and only get 1 game in my first 5 nights back. Well done [expletive].
  10. Buck up boys. At least we are the best at something (losing)
  11. It's not that they dislike him, it's just that he's so [expletive] easy to tackle. True stat: Matt Forte was tackled or went out of bounds in all but 9 of his carries last season.
  12. It's like a bad SNL sketch. I know, when the Hawks and Bruins were matched up last year, my friends in Boston kept saying their anthem is better, and when I laughed they said 'just watch'. Well I watched, and then I broke out into fits of laughter. WTF is that [expletive]?
  13. Game 1 will be on 2pm Sunday in either Chicago or Anaheim.
  14. It's fun to be hated. Because it means you are really good.
  15. Also Raisin, we need you to be in the ears of every socal hockey fan you know trying to convince them that starting a Crawford chant in the next round is a great idea.
  16. Not much to add other than Chicago has participated in 4 of the last 6 conference finals. That's nuts. Also, a 50% chance of a second consecutive Original 6 SCF, very nice.
  17. In the Q era, they are 9-1 in Game 6's overall
  18. How do we respond after our first 3 game winning streak in 10 calendar months, and our first winning series of the year? We go on to lose 7 of our next 8 (probably)
  19. We're fine. We will win at home on Sunday and have 2 chances to finish them off. How many times have the Hawks been on the ropes and risen to the occasion the last 2 years? I want to point and say I told you so to the people who were predicting sweep after game 2, or talking about how bored they were waiting for the next series to start.
  20. http://i.imgur.com/0Fs0tql.gif Larussa consulting for the braves these days?
  21. Josh Gordon is facing a year long suspension for failing another drug test. How dumb do you have to be?
  22. OK it was cute keeping bonifacio at the top of the lineup when he started hot, but we all knew he'd eventually suck and he has. Last 22 games: .221/.280/.279/.559
  23. 14th in MLB in OPS (9th in NL) 7th in MLB in OBP (4th in NL) 15th in MLB in HR (9th in NL) Sexy time
  24. Yeah, after two first round "risks" the last two years, he might've felt like he needed to play it safer this year. With one of those (and the most recent) having worked out very well, not sure why that would be his reasoning. I don't think he went safe in direct response to 2012/2013, but rather now that it is his third draft he takes full ownership of 2014 results and he needed a guy he was reasonably assured could produce from day 1. It's possible he believes the Bears are in a position to contend, and knows the defense needs help so he took someone who is solid and can contribute in year 1.
