  1. Stanley Cup Finals will begin a week from today - with or without the Hawks
  2. Certainly doesn't feel like we're winning. I'll take the lead though I guess. Gotta come out in the 2nd like we did in the 1st.
  3. This first period feels like an entire game.
  4. Robbed on one end, cheap goal on the other.
  5. Momentum isn't a thing You win
  6. Can't clear. They score. There goes momentum
  7. Kinda want the Cubs to get no hit. I don't know why, guess it would just be funny.
  8. Honestly, I still hold out hope, but I'm surprised at how mentally over it I am. Yes I get angry during the games and I'll probably get angry if they lose tonight (but they won't...I guarantee it), but there is no lingering sadness or anger that I would normally get. We won it last year and 3 years before that, and we're capable of winning it next year. Right now the storyline is that we are running into a buzzsaw. I don't think that means that the Kings are that much better than us, if at all.
  9. Exactly this. I have been to a couple rooftop parties and very few people are there to sit and watch the game. Even the unobstructed views leave a lot to be desired. Assuming the signs lead to additional revenue which helps the Cubs field a consistently competitive team, the rooftop owners will benefit from the excitement around the team more than they will be harmed by any obstructions. Out of the maybe 10 times I've done a rooftop, I think only 2 of those times were people including myself watching the game. The other times were networking events, company outings, and a couple of bachelor parties. That said, those events happen because you CAN see the game, even if no one watches. The appeal for a corporate event goes down when you can only see the right half of the infield and half of home plate because a giant scoreboard is blocking the rest. I'm not taking the rooftops side, I still say [expletive] them, but I believe it will make a huge difference for the rooftops.
  10. http://insider.espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/10995032/nfl-chicago-bears-ride-jay-cutler-breakthrough-playoffs For those who cant read insider:
  11. I am going to guarantee victory tonight. Hawks win 3-2 with late goal by Kaner. The season will go on!
  12. I must say its a big weird reading Orioles Hangout again. The last time I followed trade discussions there the Cubs were looking to trade prospects to win now, and now its the opposite.
  13. http://www.oriooli.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/stupid-gifs-6.gif That might be one of the dumbest things I've ever read. I mean you have to try hard to be that dumb. Derrr...you are supposed to be the ace. How dare you give up 1 ER in a game we didnt score any runs in. You need to pitch to the situation.
  14. Yeah thats the one question i had about the trades he proposed. Love is the best available asset in basketball and there are several teams that have a need for him, and assets, and are preferred Love destinations. Minnesota is not going to trade him for Taj Gibson (29 next month), Mike Dunleavy Jr (34 years old by next seasons start) and a bunch of late 1st round picks. It would almost certainly be 2 or all 3 of Butler, Mirotic, Gibson, and 1st round picks, and that still might not be enough. Regardless, I'd do it if it meant acquiring love and anthony.
  15. How about both? http://www.chicagonow.com/bullsville/2014/05/carmelo-anthony-and-kevin-love-can-the-bulls-land-both/ PG: Rose, Hinrich SG: Butler, Snell SF: Anthony PF: Love, Mirotic C: Noah, Smith
  16. Bring it ON, Tommy-Boy. Hell, break ground this weekend. Why wait for July? Well they need approval from whatever group they are trying to get approval from (Landmarks commission?). That hearing isn't until June 6th or something. Then I think they said they were ordering the steel?
  17. [expletive] @LAKings stop being so awesome
  18. Kings have only played 3 less games of hockey of the last 2 years, and considerably more over the last 3 and look to be firing on all cylinders. Also, the Kings have had a considerably more grueling run in this year's playoffs. Only 2 more games played but the Hawks had several days rest between each series and I believe the Kings had 1 day off between each series. I guess the major difference is the Hawks had 10 Olympians and the Kings 6.
  19. hahaha [expletive] off rooftops!
  20. Hawks are 7-3 in elimination games with Q. That's 4-1 at home, 3-2 on the road. Win game 5, extend our streak of series with a road win in game 6, then anything happens in game 7.
  21. I think Marshall and Jeffery are both better than DeSean Jackson. That said, the Bears are quite thin beyond those 2 in terms of pure WRs. Still seems weird though, especially the Redskins. I can understand Denver being higher but not Washington.
  22. Ok 3-6 when I watch the Hawks this postseason. Turning off the game now. If the Hawks come back and win 5-4, I won't watch the Hawks again this postseason.
