    I'm surprised the line keeps going up in the Jets favor. Obviously a lot of people are backing NYJ but why? Bears injuries? Was their win in SF not inspiring enough, or was the Jets near win at Lambeau causing people to back them?

    3 or less in 21, what a year by him Just to compare...I'm not saying Arrieta is anywhere near his league, but Kershaw has allowed 2 runs or less in 19 of 25 starts. Both are pretty consistently great.

    Game Score is a pretty stupid metric, but [expletive] it..... Arrieta had a GS of 97 today, 3rd highest in the majors this year behind Kershaw's no hitter (102) and Bumgarner's 1 hit CG SO (98)

    Jake is at 149.2 IP over 151 team games. Pitchers need 1 IP per team game to qualify for ERA league leaders. Does Jake get 2 more starts this year? If so he needs 12.1 IP in those starts to qualify. If he qualified he'd be 6th in the NL in ERA.

    Z kept taking no hitters deep in games and losing them, until one day he finished one off. I believe Arrieta will do the same.

    Len said something about them giving him extra rope to get out of it because he wants 20 wins or something? so even if he'd gotten out of it, he probably would have been done after that inning, meaning that the reds would have had to score 4 runs in the bottom of the inning for him to have a chance at the win. seems... rather unlikely. Well no they are at wrigley, so the reds would have had to score 4 runs and Cueto would have had to face an additional batter in the bottom of the 7th. Keep in mind it was only 2-0 when he said that. nah, they would've just had to take the lead with cueto still in the game. if the reds went up 3-2 or 4-3 in the top of the 7th with cueto having finished the 6th, cueto would've stood to get the win. Yikes I can't even get basic baseball things right these days.

    I can't see the Cubs ever leaving Iowa. They are about as stable of an partnership as there is out there.
