  1. You can absolutely pick holes in any suggested option for what to do differently. Like I said there are no optimal suggestions here. But what played out was the clear worst possible outcome. also different conversation but it would have been nice if the Bears didn’t burn that second TO to prevent a delay of game (I think that’s what happened right?)
  2. If they were going to call a TO it would have been around 18 seconds when Caleb is frantically waving his hands around trying to get the play call. Once you get to 10 seconds or whatever you just have to run a quick out and hope there’s time left. But even if they do get down to 6 seconds yes a TO is still a better call. Caleb clearly couldn’t process the situation correctly. Call a TO, run an out play hoping there’s time left afterwards to take a shot at the end zone. Literally anything is better than what happened.
  3. Like in a 2 minute drill do the Bears not seriously have a default quick pass play call drilled into them and at the ready? Should Caleb have even needed a play call to be called in? That’s where a lot of the time was wasted as it seems like Caleb was trying to understand the play call. Just run a quick 8 yard out play or something. Anything at all that gains you 7+ yards probably puts you in FG range. In a 2 minute drill I don’t know how Caleb doesn’t have those plays immediately ready
  4. There are no great options in that situation but the option they took which is running the clock down to 3 seconds and then throwing a pass down the middle short of the end zone is the worst possible one. Calling a time out is not great at all for the reasons you’ve mentioned but giving them a chance to take a breath and draw something up is better than a frazzled Caleb processing everything on the fly
  5. I’m still hopelessly confused at what just happened? This goes beyond normal botching of game situations. It defies all logic. It’s beyond comprehension
  6. Yes Caleb didn’t help at all there but that’s on the coach
  7. That is the dumbest thing that I’ve ever seen in a football game in my life. I cannot make sense of this at all. Like who horsefeathered up? Caleb could have called a TO. Eberflus could have called a time out. Nothing about this makes any sense. I’m so confused. 5 mins ago the bears had a 1st down at the 13 with 40 seconds left and a chance to win. And somehow it led to this. I’m so confused
  8. I’m so unbelievably confused about how they managed to blow that game
  9. Eberflus had to have forgotten they still had a time out. What the hell?
  10. That is the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever seen in my life. Holy horsefeathers
  11. Man wtf every time we have a good play they get a penalty
  12. Is he? I’m watching while distracted with various Thanksgiving tasks and ranting on NSBB
  13. Oh man terrible time to have to burn a TO to prevent delay of game
  14. Man how does Caleb throw it at his feet? You could tell immediately it was a bad throw
  15. Wow!!! Thank you old friend Vildor
  16. Oh look Caleb is leading them on another potential game winning drive
  17. And Caleb walks right into a sack ugh edit: and then recovers
  18. money play for Caleb hanging out in the end zone and delivering a perfect pass in stride to Moore really the biggest thing Caleb needs to fix is inconsistency. When he gets in a groove he looks elite
  19. His foot was on the line. That’s crap
  20. Oh so this is how they’re gonna break our hearts today?
  21. Lets make the longest horizontal run with the most complex blocking possible for this 1st down
  22. You want to limit his hits but I would have liked to see Caleb try for that 1st there instead of sliding 4 yards short. But he converted so it worked out.
  23. Haven’t they gotten close to Goff at all today other than the late hit play? He has all day to throw every single time.
  24. Signs a huge extension and immediately has fans calling out his effort and body language on the way to a poor statistical season.
