  1. Either way thanks for sharing as you continue to get mocked. I hope you're right.
  2. It seems like whenever we are involved with something and Boston is also involved, it seems like all the news and rumors are coming from the Boston side.
  3. I don't know, but this dude hosts a spanish language sports talk show in Boston it looks like. That tweet was actually posted as a translation of his first tweet that was in spanish Here's more nonsense that he just tweeted a minute ago:
  4. Some radio show co-host in Boston: A lot of smoke this morning...or is it everyone rehashing a false rumor and spinning it as their own reporting?
  5. Because I love lists, Keri on Grantland is doing the top 50 trade value on Grantland. Part one: http://grantland.com/features/2014-mlb-trade-value-rankings-part-1/ Cubs on the list so far: HM: Addison Russell HM: Javier Baez 44. Jorge Soler Part 2 is tomorrow, expect to see Rizzo and Bryant on there. Probably Castro too?
  6. Any of the PSD guys posting rumors? I'm with you guys, I'll take some made up rumors favorable to the Cubs at this point
  7. Yeah I agree I liked the RF placement the way it was. As for removing the sign in LF, I don't care except less revenue.
  8. If he can't or refuses to drive to the rim, he's a decent role player at best the rest of his career. I get the being smart thing but being smart is not jacking up 3s. Where is the midrange game? In Roses MVP season and the season before he was lethal at hitting midrange jumpers. He could create space and hit the open shot. He played like a player 4 inches taller than he is because he could create that space. But tonight he was absolutely not a shot creator. His shots came off screens and ball movement.
  9. That's the other thing. You have Butler in the game who sneezes and gets to the line and instead we have Rose jacking up contested 3s. The offense should be running through Butler (and Pau) until Rose can play at that level. I'm probably overreacting a little because it's a somewhat meaningless game and the more important thing is getting Rose reps in crunch time minutes...but he just didn't have it tonight. At all. Gotta change things up a bit.
  10. That's about as angry as I can be at a regular season December loss. Wanted that one badly. Rose looks like a decent role player. No explosiveness at all. You'd think if he could get to the bucket he would have done so at least once in the 4th and OTs. But he didn't, he either drove to the FT line and looked for Pau to bail him out or settled for a bad 3. Maybe it's the hammy bothering him but if that's the case Brooks should have been out there because he could have given more than Derrick did. I know he made the miracle 3 but that doesn't erase 15 minutes of mostly ineffective play.
  11. Rose looks terrible tonight. Slow and bad
  12. 5-0 lol
  13. There's no way that an undefeated FSU could possibly drop out of the top 4 with an ugly win vs GT right? Beating GT is probably better win than Wisconsin and Kansas State right? I applaud the committee for not just automatically placing the only Power 5 undefeated team at 1 though.
  14. eh, this recruiting class is completely fubar anyway, though; it's at 7 verbals right now and like 3 are solid UM decommits so far (247 composite rank): Damien Harris (33) George Campbell (36) Mike Weber (101) Darian Roseboro (106) Shaun Crawford (119) Garrett Taylor (123) Darrin Kirkland (178) Chris Clark (80), Tyree Kinnel (181) seem liable to jump ship at any moment and Brian Cole (61) isn't any lock to stay Chris Clark did indeed jump ship.
  15. Yeah I posted a "report" from that same twitter handle revealing that a team was going to make a 6/$144m offer to Lester.
  16. To answer your second question, I believe Michigan has to pay him $1M less in buyout if they fire him after Jan. 1 - not that they will wait that long. I don't think that matters. It would be more harmful to the program to leave Hoke in limbo for another month (because of recruiting mostly) than it would be to pay that extra $1m to go away today. And it looks like today is the day....2:30 PM CST press conference.
  17. Craw apparently injured himself off the ice. Q says he will be out at least for tomorrow's game. Also the Blues signed Brodeur LOL
  18. IDK if this means we're meeting with him again or if this is just stuff that gets communicated over the phone or what...but it sure seems like it'd be another meeting. It certainly sounds like this diffutes the report that the Cubs aren't confident in signing him. They seem to be pulling out all the stops because they think they can get him.
  19. I obviously want him to go to the Cubs but if he doesn't I just don't want him to go back to Boston. I hate the fact that they could trade him away in a lost season, get legitimate value in return (even though Cespedes wore out his welcome in Boston he will still fetch value in a trade), and then re-sign him without having to lose a draft pick because the new CBA took away draft pick compensation for someone traded in his walk year. Then again maybe I shouldn't be mad at the Red Sox for being shrewd and taking advantage of the new CBA since we also have a FO that finds ways to create competitive advantages within the confines of the CBA.
  20. well, this stood out...boy did we ever have some serious stockholm syndrome with our [expletive] farm system Geez only Castillo, LeMaheieu, and Flaherty became major leaguers with any value at all and 2 of them with other teams.
  21. http://www.chicagotribune.com/sports/hockey/blackhawks/ct-blackhawks-salary-cap-spt-1201-20141130-story.html I know we've talked about this a little bit here but damn this is depressing.
  22. This is a great point. Ugh. Dave Leito left after an NCAA Tournament and NIT appearance, and that was before the program became the embarassment of high major basketball. What would keep a successful DePaul coach around besides a new arena?
