  1. Out of curiosity, what does Ted Phillips do for football operations except hiring the GM? I want him gone too at least from football ops but it's more because I want ot see blood rather than understanding what he has done wrong (other than hire Emery)
  2. Not that we didn't already know that. But its good to read reporting that the very top of the Bears org has a pulse and gives a [expletive].
  3. Thanks for Long and Jeffery
  4. Shefter is reporting it as well. Edit: of course, beaten
  5. It's not as much peaking at the right time as it is lindley starting a road playoff game
  6. I know he isn't going to say he expects to be fired but it's still funny to read it and pretend in some delusional world he actually thinks he's coming back. On a side note it's been funny to see how much of a shell he's gone into in terms of comments to the media over the past couple of months. He was once praised for how open and candid his comments were...last week he was given a bone and asked which of his players deserved to be in the pro bowl...a chance to talk up his guys and his response was "no comment"
  7. How do we get such a [expletive] schedule? I don't know how we were "fortunate" enough to get maybe the 2 best divisions in football (in 2014). Oh well, the rest of the north has to play them too and we get the last place teams.
  8. I think he was 27 yards short I think he needed 199 yards and got 172
  9. Bears 2015 opponents: Home - Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Arizona, San Francisco, Denver, Oakland, Washington Road - Detroit, Green Bay, Minnesota, Seattle, St. Louis, San Diego, Kansas City, Tampa Bay
  10. Congrats Bears, both your main coordinators have been seen crying in front of the team.
  11. Thank you for the reminders that Trestman should be fired Bears WRs
  12. I can't wait to see which future hall of famer will be drafted by another team at 7
  13. Omg he must have just been told he was canned!
  14. Cutler not going to get to 4000 yards or 30 TD, Forte might not get the record. Hell he still needs 52 yards to break Bears single season record.
  15. Hopefully it just means there aren't any hard feelings F-that. There are many hard feelings If the McCaskeys decide to can Emery and Trestman they are eating millions of dollars to make them go away. If they irreparably destroyed the Cutler relationship or otherwise decide to move on, they are eating significantly more money to get rid of him. It would be hard not to have hard feelings from the ownership side.
  16. Hopefully it just means there aren't any hard feelings The Cubs let their fired GM lead their next draft. All Emery is doing is just sitting next to George. Ok... Did I say different ? I think he's responding to the OP
  17. And now the Chiefs are in line for the playoff spot if the scores all hold. They were at 55-1 odds at 12 pm today.
  18. Is this all time or for a season? Already answered. The record would be the all time single season record for receptions by a RB
  19. Wow if all the scores hold right now, 6 teams (Miami, Buffalo, San Diego, Baltimore, KC and Houston) would be tied at 9-7 for the final AFC playoff spot. We already know that the Texans would be in if the scores held but I wonder how confusing the tiebreaker was.
  20. What a POS. He's gotta grow up fast or quickly get a lot better at football.
  21. Unless Harbaugh is GM too I was thinking this too, but all the rumors have Jimbo going to U of Mich...sooo Fox Sports claiming Harbaugh to UM is done. He's supposedly flying there tomorrow. http://foxs.pt/1xqJ3zf Weird then that the Fox ticker had Harbaugh not accepting Mich's offer during the first half. It's done. His long time friends are even tweeting it's done. People connected to Michigan have been tweeting to make sure they come to the Michigan basketball game on Tuesday for a special introduction. The interim AD told the players this weekend to expect a coach hired by midweek, and I don't believe Michigan has formally interviewed anyone else. The most respected UM sportswriters are congratulating UM on the hire. It's done but nothing is signed because Harbaugh is coaching the 49ers today, thus the reports that the Raiders are still in play IMO. it would take a monumental change of heart that would enrage the rabid fan base of his alma mater for Harbaugh to not be coaching UM next year.
  22. Wtf? Why in the hell would they want to win today? You expect owners to act the same way educated fans do? No probably not. On second thought they are all in that rich ass owners club and finishing ahead of Zygi Wilf for bragging rights is more important than draft positioning.
  23. Wtf? Why in the hell would they want to win today?
  24. I think it's a lot of fun if you are a fan of a rising team. For example the 10-11 season was a ton of fun as a Bulls fan because the team came together, exceeded all my expectations, met every challenge and won 62 games. The next regular season was much less enjoyable as I already knew the Bulls were elite contenders and was just waiting for the playoffs to start. This year is starting to become on the level of the 10-11 team due to Rose's injuries knocking the Bulls from title contender the last 2 seasons
