    George needlessly talking up Trestman and Emery, saying Halas Hall is a better place because of them. Ultimately we didnt win enough games. Time to move forward with new leadership. Search for new GM and HC underway, talked to a bunch of people we respect, hired Ernie Accorsi as a consultant. Accorsi is former GM of the NY Giants Looks like nothing has changed with regards to Ted Phillips.

    Is it odd that there have been no reports confirming that Mel Tucker is fired? I mean I'm not worried about whether its going to happen, its just strange because his fellow coordinator got the public axe. I guess maybe it was a foregone conclusion so no need to report?

    The only thing that worries me about Marshall's behavior is the effect it has on his teammates. Marshall was supposed to be a veteran leader on this team, and I think best case he had a neutral effect on his teammates. -The Bears win a big game against SF, and Marshall is more focused on making a long, unecessary rant in a public press conference about something that happened 4 years ago. -Marshall is heard yelling at the [expletive] kicker after a tough loss, and later calls out his supposed best buddy Cutler -The most embarassing moment of the Bears season is the whole Kromer situation. Instead of defending a teammate and friend he says that he probably would have buyers remorse too. (note that what he said is perfectly defensable and was probably taken out of context, but its still an odd thing to say as a team leader) I don't even think this latest outburst, or the Showtime show, or the challenging the fan to a fight on twitter matter, but they are examples of increasingly erratic behavior. All that said, I think Marshall is fine next year as long as we have strong leadership. Edit: [expletive] I missed the part where we all decided to move past this argument.

    I'm probably just trying to make excuses at this point but its possible he is working on a new swing/approach as prescribed by the Cubs, thus making his results less important than him getting comfortable with the new approach. Then again, the last time the Cubs tried to change an impatient hitter's approach we wasted 2 years of Castro's career and drove him to attempted murder.

    I could really see whoever the GM is moving on from Marshall. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk This is such a random and unnecessary outburst by Marshall. He basically just threatened to fight Carmen, but won't because he will lose his contract and get sued.

    Brandon Marshall is going off on his weekly show on ESPN 1000. I think its Carmen and Jurko interviewing him. Marshall called Carmen a clown and said he shouldn't be on the radio. It's getting heated.

    Schefter went to Michigan, I highly doubt he's rooting for Harbaugh to not go there. I am not sure...he's been on the "protect the shield" brigade of reporters brushing off all Harbaugh back to college rumors until pretty much yesterday. I'm sure he likes Michigan but he loves the NFL even more. The rumors are Harbaugh actually accepted the job a week ago and some reporters are still pretending that there is a chance he doesn't go to UM. Of course all that tweet really means is that he called up the Bears, Jets and Raiders and asked if they would be going after Harbaugh if available.

    The hell? Hahaha, I guess when you are eating Emery's and Trestman's contracts and possibly Jays you have to cut corners somewhere.

    My favorite moments were the entire 2006 and 2007 season (until the last few games) when Orton was the 3rd string QB and looked like he was the farthest thing from prepared to play in a game everytime they showed him on the sidelines.

    Maybe Harbaugh has a layover at Ohare on the way to Michigan and George is going to the airport to make a pitch. I know that's a pipe dream. michigan's private jet is taking him to A2, but maybe he can leap out over Chicago and parachute into Halas Hall.

    But George is getting ANGRY I don't think it would happen either as I don't think he'd leave until after the Packers season is over and it might extend until February, and at the very least 2 more weeks.
