eh, the frontcourt is all freshman and oh, the 6'6 C you were kidding yourself if you didn't expect a bumpy road for a while; that stupid McGary suspension was just so devastating The near win against Nova and the victories against Syracuse and Oregon raised my expectations a bit. Now I have no idea what to think.
And Michigan loses at home to Eastern Michigan. This is like Tommy Amaker style Michigan basketball. Oh and a game at Arizona on Saturday. Should be fun.
LF Coghlan 3B Valbuena 1B Rizzo RF Soler SS Castro C Montero CF Alcantara 2B La Stella P Lester Who would you have traded Baez for? Or did you just launch him into the sun? Price...he lost the coin flip with Lester for Opening Day start
He's doing one a night. Braves on Saturday, Mystery Team on Sunday, Dodgers on Monday, Giants on Tuesday.....Yankees on Wednesday, A's on Thursday, Expos on Friday then he will choose between the Red Sox and Cubs
Definitely not. The White Sox spend a great deal of their resources trying to get fans to come to the games. That's not meant to be an insult either. We don't exactly sell out when the Cubs or bad. Some would argue nor should we. Welcome to the forum, glad to see some new faces in here. What do your sources say about Lesters decision btw?
The Sox had a period of 4-5 years where it was common knowledge that the Cubs were going to suck and be irrelevant and had 2 of their worst seasons in recent memory the last 2 years. In fact they finished with a worse record than the Cubs in 2013 and the same record in 2014. You'd think if that was the case the Sox would have seen the opportunity to gain ground in Chicago and do whatever it took to win. I dunno I'm not saying they completely ignore what the Cubs are doing but I don't think it's a driving factor in their major decisions.
Jesus Shark really does not like the Cubs. He was asked on B+B his thoughts on the Cubs finally turning the corner and his response was "I did everything I was asked to do as a Cub, and I'm proud that I was a professional during my time there". He grit his teeth enough for Dan to say he can tell there was something bittersweet in his answer.
At this point with all the shoddy reporting, intense speculation and drama, I almost expect Lester to announce that he is giving us his decision on an ESPN special tomorrow evening.
