  1. Looks like the Bears chose the wrong WR named Chris from the CFL.
  2. I just spent the last 15 minutes laughing from tweets about the Nationwide ad
  3. They pretty much are haha. I like being the plucky little team that could, but eventually I'd like to win some of these games. Or at least score in OT :)
  4. It's probably a little bit extreme, and there are definitely numbers that paints Gasol as a net positive for the Bulls, but I think I agree with the sentiment that he's getting more praise than he deserves.
  5. I'd love to see Izzo and D'Antonio go up in flames. I assume you mean couches though.
  6. I don't see any of those guys coming back. Bernstein would spontaneously combust of Kap and/or Haugh got hired and I don't think the executives at the Score trust McNeil to finish any contract he signs. My guess is that Mannelly is stepping down to make room for someone specifically. A radio guy perhaps...that has been in the industry a while and he feels like he's taking some "radio guy's" spot. Ben Finfer maybe? I like Ben Finfer but could he really get a job in a large market after his very public outburst that sort of made national headlines (via deadspin)? I guess if he would get a job anywhere it would be with the Score who is very familiar with him and could look past it. Anyways I am not sure what the ratings are but I've heard nothing but positive comments towards Mannelly. I don't think he'd be asked to step down for someone like Finfer. It has to be McNeil Why does he necessarily have to have been asked to step down? That's how I took Banedon's post.
  7. Hawks still just 9-8-1 since December 20th and haven't won more than 2 games in a row during that span. Not super worried because it's the Hawks but I would like to see them put together some sort of run at some point. Hawks season broken into 3 parts: -Started 9-7-1 -Went 13-2-0 -Then went 9-8-1

  9. There's so many subtle but noticeable differences between 1998 Wrigley and 2014 Wrigley. The batters eye, the higher wall behind home, the old bleachers and rooftops with no seating or very primitive setups.
  10. Flash back to December 28. The Bulls have won 9 of their last 10 games and have a 24 point lead on Indiana in the second half. The Bulls completely collapse in the 4th and actually trail by 3 late in the game before coming back and winning by 1. Since that game the Bulls have gone 8-10. What the hell happened between the 3rd and 4th quarter of that game?
  11. Rose 1 for his last 17 from 3. But keep shooting 6 a night.
  12. I wish Rose would play basketball better.
  13. They just beat one of the best, if not best, teams in the league 2 nights ago on the road And? This team is just as likely to get wiped out in round 1 by a team like Detroit as it is to beat a team like Cleveland. It's a long season and they are capable of beating the best when focused and rested. Tonight looks like a team coasting/tired on the road playing against a crappy team that will turn it on if they have to in the 4th to pull away. You can use this excuse when it happens just occasionally. When a team is on the verge of going 7-8 over their last 15 games, maybe they just aren't that good. Maybe. But the fact that they are consistently beating good teams but losing to bad teams tell me they are probably pretty good. It's not like the good teams are taking the Bulls lightly.
  14. I'd love it just for the meatballs that would be up in arms.
  15. Yeah, just a relentless bunch with a few very punchable guys (Dustin Brown by far #1). Going to dread playing them in a playoff series again. That game has me excited and nervous for the playoffs. Fun to watch. Looking forward to it too assuming we both get that far. To be the best you've got to beat the best.
  16. McDermott is back. He's played about 90 seconds in the 5 games since returning. Thibs doesn't trust him for whatever reason.
  17. I think this is right.... The Bulls are 7-3 against the top 7 teams in the Western Conference, with 1 win against all 7 of them (we haven't played 8 seeded Phoenix yet) Pretty sweet
  18. Weird team and weird game. Petition to play the rest of our games on the road against winning teams.
  19. Butler and Dunleavy out. This should be a fun one...
  20. Yeah I am puzzled why Hinrich keeps getting minutes. Hinrich's defensive reputation is just that, a reputation at this point. His offense is absolutely terrible. If you accept Brooks as the backup PG, Snell and Moore have both outplayed Hinrich this year at SG (albeit both have still mostly been bad) while Hinrich is fighting Taj for 6th man status on this team. Something has to give. It's probably not the biggest problem on the Bulls right now but its up there. For the record, this is how Hinrich's PER stacks up in Hollinger's scale: And he gets 28 minutes per game...
  21. Yup, and only the 6th ASG in the last 11 years 05 - Lockout 06 - Olympics 07 - ASG 08 - ASG 09 - ASG 10 - Olympics 11 - ASG 12 - ASG 13 - Olympics 14 - Lockout 15 - ASG Until yesterday, Toews had as many All-Star appearances as Gold Medals or Stanley Cups. (cheating a little because Toews was selected to a 4th ASG but didnt play due to injury)
  22. Pretty good showing for the Hawks yesterday. Team Toews won, and Toews had 1 goal and 4 assists Crawford had the highest SV%, most saves and least Goals allowed of any goalie Kane had 2 goals and a assist Both the defensemen got on the scoresheet.
  23. It's not cherry picked? It's whatever ESPN uses for qualified players. Again, I don't have a problem with him shooting 3's, its those dumb heat check ones that I think hurt the team. 31.2% (his current percentage) is exactly his career average. If he keeps that up, by all means shoot a few a game.
  24. I apologize for causing this. Hmm not sure that 85th out of 89 qualified players at 3 point % is somewhat respectable. I don't have a problem with him shooting 3s, especially when he is wide open but 5-6 a game seems like a lot.
  25. Adding the DH seems like something meatballs (ok "traditionalists") would throw a huge fit about but within 2 seasons no one would talk about. Forget the stupid [expletive] about "it adds strategy" would anyone's lives feel less complete if we never saw a pitcher hit again?
