  1. Yup no one is allowed to sleep during the playoffs
  2. Thus why the FO is brilliant
  3. Was pulled after a terrible 1st period. One of the goals was wide open when he mishandled a puck behind the net and couldn't get back. Might have lost his job
  4. Now Thibs is saying Rose had soreness in his knee..
  5. That's what they are saying right now... Dude needed minutes not precaution
  6. Well this is turning into a fun night
  7. Wow we are getting stomped
  8. Well that's embarassing
  9. Rozival or Hinrich, which coaches pet hurts his team more?
  10. I swear that's like the 3rd play of his that led to a good Nashville chance. He was asking for the Predators to score.
  11. I'm shocked a Rozival blunder led to a goal. Shocked
  12. I believe the closest one is in Dayton. That's right an hour away. Another strike against Cincinnati.
  13. My favorite Erat moment And thanks for that. Followed by the Hossa goal. Can't watch those two goals enough. All he had to do was not blindly pass it backwards towards his own net, and its possible that the Hawks entire recent history changes.
  14. Shea Weber is still there to hate. But yeah I didn't like guys like Erat, Legwand, and didn't our old friend Steve Sullivan do something goon like in that 2010? Also miss watching Trotz stupid face behind the bench. Do these guys still trap a ton? I hope not.
  15. Yeah the difference between Cleveland and Cincinnati is significant. Cleveland has culture, has unique things to do, etc. Cincinnati sort of has that but most of the city is a decaying mess of hills and old buildings. Outside of the modest downtown, there's really nothing, a lot of it looks like has been left untouched since the 60's. There's really nothing you can do in Cincinnati that you can't do in another city. I haven't been to Oakland proper, just Bay area, and I don't think you can consider it the worst of anything with SF just across the bay. Also, considering the seasons they play in, I'd throw Phoenix in there as worst cities to visit in MLB. First of off the city is a sprawled out mess with absolutely nothing distinguising it, other than the lack of grass, cacti and moutains in the distance. There are things to do, Scotsdale is nice of course, as is some of the older more established communities in Tempe, but the problem is its pure hell in the summer. It's like the inverse of a Chicago winter but with the same effect...everyone hibernates. Once you've been to Phoenix a couple of times, its really really undesirable IMO.
  16. Milwaukee has to be in the running there. The people are the difference. Wisconsinites share more similarities to Chicagoans on the surface, they are more relatable even though we are born to hate them. People from Cincinnati are a weird mutant combination of the north, the south and appalachia.
  17. I might have to break out the 2 TV and Computer trick for tonight. Hawks on the big TV, Cubs on my second TV and Bulls streaming on computer. Last time I did that, all 3 teams won. Can't decide if i want the bulls to win that game. Yes you do. You are going to have to play the Cavs at some point, might as well be their first real playoff test in the second round (assuming they breeze by the Celtics untested) rather than having a much more confident and tested Irving/Love/Thompson in the ECF. If they are destined to lose to Cleveland, who cares what round its in, the expectations are to win the conference, anything less is a failure whether its the 1st round or the 3rd round. The team is too veteran to use as a 'building block' for future seasons. Sorry for the derailment, back to Cubs talk...
  18. Having spent lots of time there over the last decade due to in laws, yes. Like jersey said, its pretty much not a city.
  19. I might have to break out the 2 TV and Computer trick for tonight. Hawks on the big TV, Cubs on my second TV and Bulls streaming on computer. Last time I did that, all 3 teams won.
  20. If we win this game we will be 2 games over .500 for the first time since April 13, 2015
  21. Are you sure you want to use Chapman here Price?
  22. If Szczur hits a walk off, I will call him salad
  23. Our team ERA is about 12th in the NL out of 15 teams, and our OBP is about 10th last I checked. Not sure I feel that's too impressive. There's more to pitching and hitting than just ERA and OBP Yeah like W/L and RBIs
