  1. Great effort by UM. Have really come to enjoy them. It's probably not enough to make the NIT, but I hope they get the shot to play some more games.
  2. yeah the vegas game is tonight on CSN right? According to this, no but it will be shown on a delay on MLBN
  3. I'll take 2 points no matter how we get them at this point. We can all hope for an extra gear come April. Also don't look now but if the season ended today, we'd be playing Nashville in the first round.
  4. Don't worry...10-0 Illinois run as soon as I turn the game on.
  5. Do they have enough money left for Briggs and Peanut?
  6. [expletive] Bernstein is quickly losing me as a fan
  7. Latest Hinrich awesomeness: https://t.co/xcqXmuWCUN
  8. I was actually waiting for the first person to make a comment on the Cubs record and subsequent pile on.
  9. Whose also an idiot for not having Edwards in his top 50 :)
  10. Cubs jersey and Hawks sweater?
  11. Seriously. If Pace is doing his job right we will be hitting on draft picks and using FA to fill holes and depth. Cap space is spent resigning your core.
  12. Brett tweeted videos of all 3 HRs on @BleacherNation
  13. Interesting...there's the slot receiver we asked for.
  14. Surprised no one posted this but it looks like Paea is going to the Redskins
  15. Did anyone catch the Kasper interview on the Score this morning? I missed it but heard them talking about it on the transition from Biggs and Goff to Boers and Bernstein. They were saying Kasper said the Cubs are basically admitting Javy's problem is big, they are asking him to make major changes, and there's a decent chance he starts the year in AAA.
  16. I don't think so. While Revis would obviously be an upgrade, there are areas that need significant FA dollars more than CB. While its not an elite CB duo right now, it does consist of last year's first round pick and a 2012 and 2013 Pro Bowler.
  17. If they are going to pretend they wanted him all along they should have been more committal when repeatedly given the opportunity to since Pace was hired.
  18. Cutler is a 'first class douche.' I'd think Kaep is more of a 'second class douche.' #progress Cutler is not a douche at all, anti-vaxxer wife aside. He's a [expletive] bad ass. Kaepernick is, in fact, a douche, however. jay himself is an anti-vaxxer. they're his kids too. No doubt he deserves some blame but I think she gets more of the blame by people because everyone assumes it was driven by her and Jay was like "whatever"
  19. I love how the Cubs only notable major league FA acquisition from 2011-2014 ends up being the worst pitcher in baseball.
  20. This dude reported the Marshall to Jets trade an hour before the big guys had it Had to look up some info on him. PFF rated him the second best 3-4 OLB in the league last year with Baltimore.
  21. Definitely not a full rebuild. There is really no such thing as a full rebuild in the NFL. But the Bears need a [expletive] load of help at a lot of positions. It might take a season or two to get the pieces in place. Replacing the QB in the draft seems to be a completely crapshoot so we would have to get a bit lucky there if we cut bait with Cutler
  22. I don't know but since it seems like they are seriously considering getting rid of Cutler, it's a possibility that's on the table unless you know of another QB that's even a slight possibility of acquiring that makes the Bears contenders in 1-2 years. I could have my timeline wrong but I believe when Fox was hired the available openings were the Bears, Falcons, and Raiders. The Falcons were zeroed in on Quinn and were waiting for the Seahawks season to end. The Raiders would be a job less ready for winning. The Bears were there as a reasonably attractive option and more importantly, they were interested in Fox. It's possible that Fox took the job knowing that there might be a year or two of quasi rebuilding.
  23. With Jimmy Clausen signed Friday, this is pretty interesting. Veteran who can start a few games if they draft Mariotta and get rid of Cutler? lol
