    Great job Jason. Maddon basically said the Cubs only deserving all star is Rizzo and Bryant came out and hit 2 HR yesterday and Hammel pitched this gem today that will hopefully be 7.2 shutout innings.

    being close to the interstate doesn't necessarily make it easy or convenient for the large majority of the population to get to. i agree that the main problem is that the stadium is awful, but i think you still have issues drawing at that location even with a super-family friendly, modern ballpark Yeah, it's close to an interstate that relatively few people have a reason to be on in the first place. Raymond James is pretty close to the interstate as well but it's more centralized. Isn't part of the issue that there are only 1-2 bridges across the bay for those in the much larger Tampa to get to St. Pete for a ballgame?

    Mark Gonzales said he's listed as a reserve tonight, plus Alcantara is in Iowa's starting lineup. No DL yet it appears. Yeah I think Maddon was quoted as saying he was day-to-day and could PH tonight didn't they the same thing about soler at first? Yeah and Olt did PH a couple of times before putting him on the 60 day DL with a fracture.

    That's definitely a good thing since people were speculating between 70-71m, its at the high end of that.

    Is offense up this year? Just looking at the individual statistics, it boggles my mind that there two first baseman (Goldschmidt and Cabrera) having better seasons offensively than Rizzo, who in my mind has been an absolute monster. 2015 so far: 1.000+ OPS: 4 (Harper, Goldschmidt, Cabrera, Rizzo) .900-1.000 OPS: 14 .800-.899 OPS: 39 Overall above .800: 57 2014: 1.000+ OPS: 0 .900-1.000 OPS: 8 .800-.899 OPS: 27 Overall above .800: 35 Certainly looks like it from the top, but not sure if the offensive improvement is top heavy or is everyone's offense up.

    2009 Cubs high water mark was 9 games over so if we can get to 10 games over we will reach our high point since the 2008 Cubs and I believe the 2nd highest point since the 2004 Cubs. Edit: 2007 Cubs peaked at 10 over

    Why? Yes he hasn't given them a lot of innings but part of that is because he he started the season injured and needed to stretch the arm out. Outside of 1 bad start he's been fine for a 5th starter, much better than Wood or EJax who would be the expected replacements unless Turner is ready to go. And even if it's turner theres a legit risk that he is worse than Wada
