  1. yes lets point at my teammates in the dugout after an rbi double in the 4th inning of the 77th game of the year
  2. when is that karmic retribution coming for the cardinals being [expletive] bags?
  3. For anyone hoping Starlin was turning the corner...4-25 in his last 7 games with a .160/.160/.200/.360 line
  4. Come on Bryant, don't go all Javy on us.
  5. So annoying that this will probably knock Hammel out forcing the game in the hands of a very taxed pen that has had to pitch 6+ innings twice in the past week.
  6. because a lot of fans like schadenfreude and came here to read some and instead saw us talking about how their fans are yokels and outwardly wishing their players would die. So they got all worked up and responded. Because they are little brother of a city and think that having a more successful baseball team justifies their decision to live in a backwater city. Because they are pissed their football team is leaving, their hockey team choked in the first round again while their rivals won another Cup and have nothing else to turn to but their baseball team as a source of pride. Because they are overly defensive after their team got caught blatantly cheating. Lots of reasons really
  7. These new posters we've gotten sure have been swell additions haven't they?
  8. I'm surprised Heyward didn't run into the dugout, take a curtain call, and then run back on the field
  9. Because if there's one thing the Cardinals do, it's completely gag in the playoffs. They have before And the time they blew that 3-1 lead in the nlcs
  10. Random MLS question...what is up with the Chicago Fire? It seems like the league is gaining traction, there are legit rivalries, rabid fan bases, etc but here in Chicago it seems like the local team is just "there". Just a rather irrelevant team with little local coverage, a nice stadium but one way out of the way and surpassed by a large chunk of the league. I know that the team has sucked for several years and that hurts as the league rises. And I know they are lacking an aging superstar from Europe or SA like many teams have. Is my perception as a very very casual fan correct? I'd love to get into the MLS as I see the excitement in cities like Seattle, Portland, LA, NY, KC etc but honestly the Fire don't even seem like they are in the same league as the teams in those markets. They just seem to be running in mud.
  11. Instead of a complete moron we get a bunch of ripping on Castro.
  12. Cardinals will coast to best record in baseball and then fall fat on their faces in the NLDS
  13. Eat a bag of dicks Haha. Whatever you say little brother. Haha like anyone from that [expletive] bag city has the right to call a Chicagoan little brother. I'd much rather root for my sad sack franchise then cheer amongst you yokels. Plus I guess I'd kind of get sick of mourning one of my active players dying every couple of months.
  14. This is the most Cardinals series ever
  15. Bryant is something like 5 for his last 34 with a K rate around 40. Of course he single handedly won a game for us during that stretch so he's still and will forever be awesome.
  16. if only your name was spelled Addissonn you too could be clutch like my boy Donn Roach
  17. Seriously...1-54 in the minors and 2-5 in MLB
  18. Roach is 1-54 lifetime in the minors But 1-4 with a double in the MLB
  19. Ok Baxter. I cannot make fun of you anymore because you've been hitting too much. Normally this is the part when you'd fall off a cliff and go 1 for your next 24. Prove me wrong
  20. Maybe if starlin wasn't so unfocused and lazy he could have been more accurate with his aim
  21. Meh what's the use Im sure whatever unheard of pitcher they'd replace him with would be even better than Wacha
  22. Somewhere there's some irrational cardinals fan bitching about the Cubs unbelievable luck
  23. Hmm wasn't expecting our first move to be adding salary but trading our 3rd goalie for a young forward isn't a bad move Edit: also certainly a two way contract
  24. Maddon did fine tonight - the pinch hitters did well, and I thought the bullpen was managed properly. It was his decision last Sunday to let Arrieta finish that may have cost us this game. Right. The reason he was pulled after 99 pitches is because we let him finish in a blowout his last start. That decision to go for statistics helped cost us a win tonight
