I knew the offense would struggle at times this year with so many young hitters but I really did t expect it to struggle this badly for this long. A little disappointing.
Huh? They're definitely not very good defensively, but they're essentially neck and neck with the Cubs when it comes to fielding. The Sox are 29th in defensive efficiency and 30th by a healthy margin in UZR. Mercy!
Why on earth would the Padres make that deal? It's possible Castro has some value..who knows. But yeah throwing Jackson in there completely kills this as a viable trade offer.
Quintana can easily be beaten and while sale would be tough we have our best 2 starters going so it's not a stretch to suggest that a team that has already won games started by Kershaw and Greinke can beat a terrible offensive team with a great pitcher.
