So the extra 1-4 pitches Starlin would have made Chapman throw would tire him out? The main point was that I'd rather let my guys bat with the tying run on base

Have you seen the Cubs bench? And nobody is hitting Chapman Yeah I see Montero on that bench Yeah Montero is totally hitting Chapman Wow ok. Maybe we should just forfeit when he comes into the game. Montero is the best bat on the bench, is considerably better than LaStella, has considerably more power than LaStella, etc

I get that if its successful you are a single away from tying it but if it's not you allow a still fresh Chapman to mow through the bottom of the Cubs order in the 9th

Bothers me that Rizzo keeps swinging at that garbage. His pitch recognition is supposed to be really good but his walks have plummeted and he's swinging at a ton of pitches outside the zone

Yeah he's been swinging at a lot of balls lately. Mostly off speed stuff low If were only a quick fix existed in the form of a night in the batting cages with his dad. He's only been getting off-speed stuff lately, too. The scouting report is out on him. He will make the adjustment just like Bryant did, just like Russell did And he has a month to make it

I really wish they did away with the strike zone box in games. I'm sick of getting pissed every other batter when a strike is called a ball or vice versa. I'd rather be in the dark again
