While I'd be disappointed at standing pat, I understand this is how Theo has operated since he got here. He's not going to wildly overpay for someone, so if the asking price is too high for a TOR starter right now (with the decision aided by the Cubs mediocre play over the last month), he will move to plan B to add one in the offseason. I'm sure it wouldn't be his ideal scenario, but neither is including Schwarber in a deal for Hamels or something if the asking price gets into that range.
