    Definitely an impressive stretch and I'm thrilled, just sucks a few key mistakes or strokes of misfortune (likely) cost us a chance to win the division.

    I love how in the preseason it seemed like the fan base was expecting a poor year and was accepting of a rebuilding season or so, etc. After 2 weeks the fans are calling into shows and talking about what a mess the Bears are and how its inexcusible, etc.

    Nothing spectacular to rant about but I'm a virtual lock to finish 2nd in points in my 12 team league this week and lose to the team that finished 1st. Oh well.

    WHAT THE HELL? I took off when it was 4-3 with bases loaded and 0 outs ad completely expected to see the final score something like 6-4 Cubs. Well damn that's a downer.

    #wearebad Couldn't watch this game but based on the PBP it looks like the defense is as bad as last year, special teams is still a disaster and the offense has improved a tiny bit when you consider the output is similar to last year despite a number of injuries I guess. Doesn't change my opinion of the staff long term. It just means we don't have a lot of talent and the players we do have have a long way to go

    We supposedly have these defensive catchers who can't throw runners out or in this instance catch the ball. I know it's all about their framing but damn.

    I know it's fun to joke about it but I think there would be some serious issues if Bryant missed multiple games this year because of hangovers

    Guess Joe is putting much more emphasis on passing the Pirates than the division. Which I guess makes sense being 7 games out with 16 to play and only 3 head to head games. Otherwise he would have arranged the rotation so at least 1 of Lester/Arrieta pitched this series or at the very least ensured that we didn't have an unnecessary bullpen day tomorrow.

    Sucks. Wasn't he like their 2nd best hitter statistically this year? Hate that it happened, and I don't think his absence dramatically affects the odds of winning the Wild Card game.
