    Lots of players talk about their next contracts. I don't see the harm in that. It is a strange thing to do though when you have vastly underperformed so far in your current contract. Also, and I didn't hear what spurred on his answer about his next contract, but it does contrast with his early career when everything he talked about in terms of his motivations was "I just want to win". Now it's about playing for his next contract. Again, I don't have a problem with anything that he said, it's just a little odd.

    too quickly? It's almost October. They had all summmer/preseason/3 games. None of these guys are surprising to see gone. Most of them were considered likely to be released if not for certain contract situations. True. I guess I'm used to our management sticking with their recent draft picks/free agents way past their expiration date even if its clear that there isn't much there. But Pace has the luxury of cutting bait since they aren't his picks, and was able to get at least some value from Allen and Bostic.

    I love that Pace is cleaning up Emery's mess. I do wonder if he's making these evaluations too quickly but I'm willing to give him the benefit of doubt until he fucks up royally.

    If you're referring to my comment, it was a joke. I wouldn't expect Tom to publicly commit to a spending spree, but that doesn't necessarily mean he won't spend money in the offseason. Jed has already made comments hinting that the money will likely be there for them this winter.

    Herrera has completely justified his roster spot with all of his antics. Are you allowed to sit in the dugout if you aren't on the 25 in the playoffs? If so he needs to be on the bench for this very reason
