  1. Looks like a TD
  2. Inconsistent at least. On that first drive Cutler had a couple of plays where It held up long enough for Cutler to have a good amount of time to find someone open
  3. No but considering how much he's making he's making himself a potential cut in the offseason
  4. So Cutler leads the Bears to a TD the second to last drive before getting hurt, Claussen guides the team to 6 TD less quarters and then Cutler leads them to a TD his first drive back
  5. Yeah I should change because of that, the Cubs not trading for Kershaw, and after today my World Series matchup might not be possible
  6. [tweet] [/tweet]
  7. Love that all the games today start at the same time..... Except for the cardinals who fucked it up by getting rained out. Why exactly are they even making up yesterday's game anyways? The only thing slightly meaningful is Braves draft position. Then again the Cardinals don't play again until Friday so they probably don't care if they play 2.
  8. So things in play on the last day of the season. I think this is right. AL: Last WC spot: -Houston clinches at least WC with a win or Los Angeles loss -WC tiebreaker with Los Angeles win and Houston loss -Texas is WC2 with loss, Houston win, Yankees win and loss to Houston in divisional tiebreaker WC1: -Houston can clinch WC1 with win and Yankees loss (and no division title) -Yankees can clinch WC1 with win -Texas is WC1 with loss, Houston win, Yankees loss and loss in divisional tiebreaker AL West: -Texas wins AL West with a win or Houston loss -Houston forces AL West tiebreaker with win and Texas loss #1 seed: -Kansas City clinches #1 seed with a win -Toronto clinches #1 seed with win and Kansas City loss NL: WC1: -Pittsburgh clinches WC1 with a win or Chicago loss -Chicago clinches WC1 with a win and Pittsburgh loss Am I missing anything/getting anything wrong?
  9. Cubs starters have gone 24 straight innings without giving up a run and have allowed 1 ER in their last 45.1 IP. The only run was in the 1st inning of Lester's last start against the Reds. That's freaking amazing
  10. yeah they can be so much better than 97 wins!!! They could! If they were league average theyd be in the NLDS already!
  11. I just realized that the Cubs have clinched at least a tie for 3rd best record in baseball. Very nice
  12. Meh he's been red hot the better part of 2 months. Been struggling a little the last week but I'm sure he will come through when it counts
  13. I'd like to understand if Hendricks had a mechanics issue or was just missing his spot but he had a similar run of dominance in like June then was really mediocre for 2 months and now seems to have it on track again.
  14. So, uh, Kyle Hendricks is doing some stuff
  15. Bryant doesn't want 100 RBIs because that will slightly increase his value in his arb years and he's a team friendly dude. Thanks KB!
  16. Golden chance for 100 for either KB or Riz Edit: well at least Riz?
  17. Why would it mess with the NL game?
  18. Geez, Baylor has put up 49 first half points on Texas Tech
  19. Angels finished this off, now things get super interesting as both division and WC tiebreakers become very realistic. Astros win tonight: -Astros and Angels win = divison tiebreaker -Astros and Rangers win = Rangers win div, Astros WC -Astros lose and Angels win = WC tiebreaker -Astros lose and Rangers win = Rangers division, Astros WC Astros lose tonight: -Astros and Angels win = WC tiebreaker -Astros and Rangers win = Rangers division, Astros WC -Astros lose and Angels win = Rangers division, Angels WC -Astros lose and Rangers win = WC tiebreaker
  20. Why would they be pissed? They can still catch the Rangers for the AL West. Yeah I just corrected myself. Considering the Astros woeful road record, I wouldn't be super confident of winning the last 2 games. And the Angels take the lead. Glad I turned this one on. Baseball is awesome
  21. Wow Angels score 4 in the 9th to tie it. Astros fans have to be pissed Edit: I guess some confident Astros fans are happy as it keeps their division hopes alive
  22. All that's left is a 2 way tie, Minnesota just got eliminated with their loss a few minutes ago. The Rangers and Astros can tie for the division and second wild card, or the Astros and Angels can tie for the 2nd wild card. Actually, I guess the Yankees could technically lose out and make a 3 way tie with the Rangers and Astros, so there's something for anyone wanting mayhem. That requires Texas blowing this lead in the remaining 2 outs and losing tomorrow, the Yankees losing out, and the Astros winning out. so how would that work out? I know the Yankees wouldn't play any tiebreaking games. Do the one game playoffs still count as regular season games? If so then the Yankees would already clinch home field because the Astros Rangers loser would be 0.5 behind
  23. Nope. Only tie breaking scenario left is Astros and Angels tie (assuming Texas finishes this one off but it's looking shaky) The only way that happens is if the Astros lose their last 2 and Angels beat the Rangers tomorrow
  24. Sucks, that will put the Astros magic number at 1. Not even a good chance for a 2 team tiebreaker at this point
