Can anyone dig up some more info on that stat they posted from twitter about the Cubs hitting .228 against high velocity pitchers, which is the bottom 3rd of the league. I am venturing to guess that our SLG and likely OBP is in the top 3rd of the league against those types of pitchers.

Colder weather absolutely has an effect on how a ball carries, but our dongsmiths are not exactly know for their cheap HRs. Are the dimensions still terrible for lefties at Citi Field? I thought I remember them moving the fences in a few years ago

Crazy thing I saw on ESPN, if the Mets win this series, we will have the first World Series between 2 expansion teams ever. Given how almost half of the team are expansion teams, seems kind of like a statistical oddity. Let's extend that streak.

I actually love that website and thread other than using derogatory words. Let them be cocky jackasses, we will do the same. Let them point out things like "we're a different team now" and ignore that were a different team now, I'm sure there is something similar that we do. They are the White Sox of New York and it seems like they have the inferiority complex to match. I don't know enough about their fan base but it sure seems like they have the same demographic stereotypes that Sox fans live with as well, true or not.

Not great donging conditions this weekend in New York with temps likely to be in the 40s in an already spacious park. Of course the Cubs are very good at donging and don't care about stupid conditions so let the dongs commence

Is the series more compact than previous years? I can swear pitchers have started 3 times in a 7 game series. Perhaps they pitched on shorter rest the second and third times.

Maybe I'm dumb but I can't wrap my head around the decision to start Lester over Arrieta. I guess the only thing is that Maddon thinks Jake is gassed and could benefit from an extra day of rest and is concerned enough that he'd rather Jon be in line to start G1-4-7 rather than Jake. Otherwise I'm not sure why you wouldn't maximize the opportunities to start a pitcher on a historically dominating run until his most recent start.

Ivy doesn't look like it's going to really start changing colors for a couple more weeks yet. Probably highly dependent on the first frost Which will be this weekend. I think I saw lows in the lower 30s two nights. Once it starts to go it goes quickly

Good question. Cold weather usually hurts the offense, which sucks because we'd have our 2 best pitchers going anyways (and 2 of their best pitchers). I think that plus the no Greinke until game 3 and Kershaw likely on 3 days rest again in game 1 pushes my preferences slightly towards wanting to play the Dodgers. Also #RoadBryant went 2-7 with 3K and 2BB at Citifeld this year and 2-12 with 8K and a 2 run HR at dodger stadium. Means pretty much nothing I know
