I'd be more worried if we didn't have guys like Cahill and Warren and possibly Wood to step in if he falters. Part of me still believes that a chunk of the reason Hammel was so ineffective was due to his hammy injury. After that point, he was never the same, took a long time getting warmed up in games, and rarely was extended past the 5th inning even when pitching relatively well. So I hold out hope that he comes into camp healthy and surprises people.
